"Hello my love," the woman smiled but the minute she noticed someone behind her daughter her smile fell into a look of confusion.
"I'm sorry I should have called."
"Its okay," Silas coughed awkwardly, "mom this is my girlfriend, Sarah."
Sarah stood up, feeling nauseous suddenly, "it's good to meet you."
"Rey." The woman said with her eyebrows raised as she looked between the two.
She then simply hummed and turned to her daughter. "I'm in town for the next few days giving a few guest lectures. We need to talk about," she gestured between the two, "this. So call me. Love you."
With that she turned and walked out of the apartment without another word. Silas slowly turned to Sarah who looked pale.
"What the fuck just happened."
Silas grimaced, "I'm sorry."
Sarah looked up panicked, "your mom is Rey Delgado."
"You know her?"
Sarah's hand held her forehead, "not personally but she's Rey Delgado. The god of sociology."
Silas sighed, "so you've read her book."
"Si, shes going to hate me. Rey Delgado is gonna hate me."
Silas found Sarah being flustered about her mother a bit amusing.
"Shes not going to hate you."
Sarah looked up, "I'm having sex with her daughter of course shes gonna hate me. Not to mention I'm your teacher. And shes going to know that because guess what? The philosophy and psychology departments have to attend her lecture Si."
The blonde sat down, flustered. Silas smiled and pushed her back further onto the couch and straddled her waist. Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Relax babe, I'll explain. It'll be okay."
___
The lecture hall was packed and Rey stood at the small podium talking while people around Sarah took notes and listened intently. All the blonde could think about was leaving the room. She made eye contact with Rey and immediately looked at her lap. Gripping onto her purse Sarah bit her lip as Rey thanked everyone for coming. People started filing out the room and Sarah made a b-line for the hallway.
She let out a sigh of relief as she slowly walked out of the building into the parking lot.
"Sarah," someone called. The blonde turned, "it is Sarah right? Philosophy department? Dating my daughter?"
Rey stepped closer. Sarah nodded silently.
The raven haired woman then smiled, "no need to look so tense hun, I dont have a problem with it or anything."
The blonde was surprised, "really?"
"My daughter has been independent since she was very young. I trust her choices. And if her choice is you then it's for good reason. But, just know that if you hurt her I'll end your career."
This is a filler I'm sorry :/
