23 - big news

'Hey guys, where's Alfie?' I asked as I walked into the class with my hands in my coat pockets

'Staff meeting' Chantelle replied as I sat on Alfie's desk and her, mitchell, rem dogg, jing and Joe came and stood around me

'You look happy' jing smiled and I smiled even wider

'I feel happy' I nodded

'But you look really happy' rem dogg said suspiciously as the rest nodded 'unusually happy'

'Don't be so nosy' I smirked jokingly 'I can be happy for no reason'

Before they could protest, Alfie walked through the door and we all returned to our seats.

'Everyone says congratulations by the way' he said as he walked past me

'Thanks' I smiled and my friends looked at me suspiciously

'Ok guys we've got assembly' Alfie said as he got to his desk

We all walked to the assembly hall and I went backstage without anyone noticing.

'Please welcome our very own, Brooke Wickers' Fraser called into the mic and I strutted out as everyone went crazy screaming and cheering, making me laugh

'Thank you' I chuckled lightly to the microphone 'I won't bore you for too long but I have good news'

Everyone cheered and screamed, the teachers all clapped and smiled along aswell.

'I want to invite you all to a party in this hall after school tomorrow that will be from 3:30 until 9:30' I said as everyone began whispering excitedly 'bring your own party clothes and prepare yourself for a surprise'

Frank winked up at me and I smirked back to him as everyone chatted excitedly.

'There will be food and drink and everyone is invited, I'm super excited to share my news with everyone at the party and I can't wait to see all of your reactions' I smiled massively

Everyone looked really excited which fuelled my happiness even more.

'So that's all from me, thank you for listening and I hope to see you all tomorrow at 3:30 in this hall' I smiled and waved as I left the stage and everyone cheered

'So I've got five decorators coming in at 9 to do all of the balloons, banners, streamers and all of the little decorations like that' I said to Frank as we walked through the school doors near the stairs, Aurora was in her pram which Frank was pushing 'then I've got the big decorators coming at 10 to do like the bigger decorations like massive signs and the pink lights and stuff, the photo booth is coming between 10 and 10:30'

I looked into my diary planner to see all of the rest of the timings as we strolled down the corridor.

'Your so lucky that they're letting you miss lessons today to set up' Frank said and I nodded

'Yeah I know, frasers the best' I smiled

Aurora babbled away to herself happily making us both smile.

'The smoke machine and bubbles machine are coming between 11 and 12 and they're going either side of the stage' I carried on 'all the food and drink is coming at 12:30 and I've got twelve party helper people that I hired that are going to be putting everything in the right place'

'So you've got this covered?' Frank asked and we stopped at my tutor

'100%, I'm so ready and excited' I replied confidently as he handed me the pram and kissed me before putting a kiss on his hand to put on auroras head'

'Ill see you soon' he said as he walked off 'love you'

'Love you' I shouted back

'Hey Brooke, we were just talking about your party' Alfie welcomed me as I took my normal seat and put aurora on my lap

'Yeah?' I asked happily 'what were you saying about it?'

'How excited we are, for the party and to find out your news' Chantelle answered with a huge smile

'How are you feeling about it?' Jing asked me

'Really stressed at the moment, I've got so many different people coming and so much to do and I just want it to be exactly how i imagined it' I answered truthfully 'but I've been excused from lessons all day, hence rora being here, and Frank will bunk some lessons to come and help me out'

'It'll be amazing babes' Chantelle reassured me 'you and Frank only throw the perfect parties'

'Thanks babes' I hummed back and stroked auroras hair

'I went to a party with attacus hoy once, so crazy, we got majorly fucked up' Alfie reminisced as we all rolled out eyes

'Did you do loads of drugs and shit sir?' Mitchell asked, nodding his head in respect

'No' Alfie scoffed in his normal posh voice again 'we sniffed deodorant from a tissue, it gets you really high'

'Well there will be no sniffing deodorant at my party' I said with a smirk

'Will there be real drugs?' Mitchell asked

'Like you'd do real drugs' I said sarcastically with a grin as I turned to face him 'that's about as likely as Joe doing drugs, no offence joe'

'None taken, my mum would kill me' he said and I patted his shoulder

'I'd do real drugs' Mitchell replied defensively

'Sure' I said sarcastically again 'but anyway there won't be any drugs either, Frank's trying to keep me and all kinds of drugs on different paths'

'Why?' Joe asked and I turned back to the side to face him and everyone else

'I'd been doing some harmless over-the-counter pills to help me stay awake so I could keep up with being a mum, studying and working' I looked down 'I'm trying to get off of them but I'm worried that I won't cope without anything'

'You should've told us' Alfie said 'that could be really dangerous'

'Relax, I've already has lectures about it from Frank, you'd think he was my dad' I rolled my eyes

'He cares about you, we all do, no more pills' Mitchell said

'I haven't touched them for nearly a week' I responded 'anyway, let's focus on this party not my issues'
