The entire mansion was silent as the members gathered around the dining table, with tear-stained cheeks and dull eyes staring at the table.
Taehyung seemed to fidget nervously the most.
A great burden was on his shoulders.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled after a bit, but not a single pair of eyes looked at him.
He didn't mind.
"It's not your fault." Yoongi spoke softly, however his tone still had a tint of despair.
Taehyung oddly winced.
"No- I mean for lashing out like that at Jin. I acted immaturely, so I'm sorry."
He bit his lip nervously as several tired eyes slowly examined him, one, however, was already turning into a scowl.
"Sorry isn't going to change what you said, Taehyung. At least Jin was able to stick around long enough to hear your short and sweet apology."
Yoongi spat, Taehyung stared at his lap silently, the guilt and regret eating him alive.
Yoongi sighed.
"We're basically brothers, guys. We can trust each other." Jungkook added, throwing a knowing look at Taehyung and Jimin, who cowered slightly.
Hoseok hummed.
"We need a plan." He piped, tapping his fingers against the table.
The boys made themselves forget about their grief momentarily.
"We know where the exit is, but we need to find a way to unlock it. There has to be a key somewhere in his shithole, so let's split up in twos to find it."
Yoongi glanced at everyone in confirmation, and they nodded obediently.
"I'll go with Jimin, Taehyung you go with Hoseok, and Jungkook you go with Felix. Everyone happy?"
They nodded again wordlessly.
Yoongi forced an exaggerated grin before clapping his hands and entwining Jimin's fingers together with his. Jimin didn't object.
"You all have 30 minutes until we will meet up here again."
They left the kitchen.
Hoseok and Taehyung followed hesitantly.
Jungkook went to stand up from his seat, inviting Felix to do so as well, but Felix grabbed his wrist gently.
"Wait," He started, avoiding eye contact. Jungkook glanced back at him in concern.
"Hey, what's up?" He kneeled in front of him worriedly, caressing his knuckles lightly.
To be honest, it was a stupid question to ask, considering everything that is happening to them.
Jungkook made a mental note to ask it in a different way if he ever were to ask it again the next 6 hours.
How different? He'll work that out later.
"Being here, seeing what happened to Jin and Namjoon- I don't want it to happen to us." Felix sniffed slightly, shyly staring at his hands that were easily enveloped with Jungkook's larger ones.
"That won't happen to us, Felix. I promise. We're going to get out of here." Jungkook squeezed his hand gently, Felix locked eyes with him.
His heart couldn't stop fluttering.
"I want to get married to you, Kook. When we get out of this place." Felix breathed, and Jungkook's eyes widened in slight shock and surprise as tears clouded his vision.
"You- you want to get married? But what about-"
"I don't care what my parents say, Kook. They'll understand one day. But I want to be with you for the rest of my life, if you wouldn't mind." Felix joked. Jungkook's lips curled into a large grin.
"I promise to propose the minute we're out of this place." He kissed his hand gently, before planting another kiss on his lips. Felix smiled and kissed him back deeply.
Taehyung watched them from within the doorway, his expression blank as his eyes showed hidden and forced-back pain.
He stormed away from them and towards Hoseok with gritted teeth, he was in desperate need of a distraction.
