XXIV. Resignation

"I still can't believe that you dated that Blue Haired Taguro."

I snapped out of my reminiscence as Ryoma said that.

I've just finished telling them; The Regulars about my past with Teiko's Generation of Miracles- Well not all, but just how it all started and about me dating... 'that Blue Haired Taguro'.

Chuckling, I turned to face Ryoma.

"Seriously? Blue Haired Taguro? If he's Taguro, Then you must be Genkai?" I asked, He rolled his eyes.

"Genkai is actually a Woman, So she'll be you." He snapped back, I scoffed.

"Nah-uh! I am Botan! I Serve the Handsome Prince." I said, crossing my hands ok my chest.

I can imagine everyone sorrounding us sweatdropping at Ryo and I's childish babblings.

"Isn't Ryoma also called a Prince?" Momo Senpai chose to join in our babblings, Ryoma smirked at Momo Senpai's dedcutions.

"...Well, Yes, but you see, Master Enma appears to be a chubby child but also appears to be TALL and HANDSOME. I don't think I'll hav-- Ahhhh! Whaaaaat I'm just describing my priiiince!!!!" I immediately jumped off my chair and ran away from a glaring Ryoma who was already about to flick his chopsticks my way.

Good thing Taka Senpai's Family Shop is closed for us today!

"Wait, so what happened after that?" Kikumaru senpai asked, stopping Ryoma and I's childish fight, I stopped and stood up in front of them, all their eyes at me, making me sigh.

"After that realization, The 1st game since then, The game seemed to be... tense." I said, walking back to my chair, Ryoma did the same as he say back at the chair beside mine.

"Tense?" Oishi Senpai asked this time, I nodded as I think about the past for a bit, before shaking my head to avoid getting dazed again.

"Their Teamwork were already starting to crack, little by little, until theis game, where, their opponents starting giving up halfway, it started with 1 team, hen soon enough, all the teams we've faced ended the same." I said before taking a sip of my Cherry Ponta.

(is there a cherry one? would've put dr.pepper but...meh.)

"You saw that AssHat? he turned into that." I said as i finished my drinks.

"and the others?" Fuji senpais asked this time, I turned to look at him, then it turnto staring as he stared back at me, tilted my head to left.

"You know Fuji Senpai, You remind me of them... of him."I asnwered this made everyone except for Fuji who just smiled at her, to look at her in surprise.

"That's why you're keeping your distance with me." he confirmed, and I nodded.

"Not only you, but out of everyone here, your personality screams another member of my former team Captain... a combined version of him." I said.

"Combined?" everyone asked, I sighed and nodded.

"You'll meet him, not only him, quite possibly the others too, they've already found me, so it's a possibility." I said.

After that we changed topics.

As soon as I got home, I went straight to my room, rest for a bit then went on a shower.

As soon as I fell into a deep sleep...

The last fragment of my memories with them played.

Soon after the talk with the Captain, things became more obvious, Daiki started to openly show his boredom, which often start and leads to our Argument whenever I say something about it, Ryota had immediately adapted the playing styles, Shintaro's shots are getting more accurate than  before with his high arcs, Atsushi has started to be more lazy now, saying that his height is already an advantage enough and that he can even defend without moving from his usual spot near the basketball ring, and last...

Captain...

I sometimes catch a glimpse on his eyes, a glimpse of pride and... fear.

what was he so afraid of? was it their change of attitude towards the game? or was it fear of them leaving him? the team? or Skill and Talent wise?

everything became clear when that faithful day came...

After the Coach had let Daiki-- Aomine off the hook and not attend our practices and trainings, After Aomine pushed me away that day... I went back to the gym and told the worried Tetsuya what happened, Satsuki became angry and stormed off to Aomine, I mentally scoffed.

It wouldn't do a thing, he had already closed himself off.

After that another thing happened...

Atsushi... wanted to have the same treatment with Aomine.

and that lead to the 1 on 1 game between Him and Captain, and that became Captain's turning point- scratch that.

It became the team's turning point, after The other Akashi resurfaced and agreed to what Atsushi wanted even though he won, things became... different.

What was left for me are the others, Satsuki, Tetsuya, Shintaro and Ryota.

only for it to be shattered for the following weeks of continuous matches.

Shintaro; after my long time of convincing him of being my friend had closed off again.

Ryota; became an arrogant 2 faced AssHat who believes he can do everything by himself.

Satsuki and Tetsuya were also as torn as I.

but I snapped once I saw the Shallowness in Tetsuya's eyes in one of the games.

He too.

the only person who I thought would never changed the way he looks at Basketball, has also changed.

and that's my breaking point.

as soon as the last game of the week ended, I arranged everything that was tasked to me, and at the same time I passed it to the Coach...

with a heavy heart, I didn't informed anybody...

not even the Captain.

I resigned.

that same day I walked with Satsuki and talked about her calling me Nee and asking her about the GoMs, I know this'll affect her too, but I need this.

I don't wanna be...

A/N: OMG!!! I'm sorry for not updating sooner!I was caught up with looking for a Regular Job since my Part time isn't really paying me that well 😅
And fudge, I got into 1!!!!!
Now, just because I already have a job, I will stop updatin, Nawp!
