Coralys pov

The school year has come to an end quicker than I'd have liked. I may not enjoy school, but I enjoy it more than spending all day in a house with Dianna and Eddie. To much disappointment, I don't even have summer school this year. How I passed, I don't know. I was aiming to NOT pass so I'd have summer school to get me out of the house. I failed myself this school year.

"Oh my god Demi!" I hear Madison yell excited.

"Hey." Demi laughs.

Great, way to make my first day of summer worse than it needs to be.

"I thought you weren't supposed to be back until tomorrow." Madison says.

Yeah, me too.

"Caught a plane this morning." Demi says.

That sucks for me doesn't it?

"So Where's Coraly?" Demi asks.

"Her bedroom probably on the phone with the school trying to work out a deal for her to go to summer school. She didn't get in and when dad told her the news she was pissed. So I'm sure she's editing her report card to failing and telling the school they've made a mistake." Madison says.

"Shouldn't she be happy to not be in summer school?" Demi questions.

"She said and I quote, 'Now I'm stuck with all of you all summer! This isn't what I wanted and this isn't even fair! I know I failed history so what do you mean I passed?!' before storming to her room." Madison says.

"And yet this sounds like a Coraly thing." Demi says.

"I know." Madison chuckles.

I hear a light knock on the door and I turn my head to see Demi walking into my bedroom. She closes the door behind her before she sits at my desk, "Not hacking into your schools grading website and changing your grades?" She asks.

"I decided to not do something illegal. I'm waiting for my well structured argument to be in summer school to be approved." I say.

"Mm, what was your argument?" She asks.

"I feel like I'm not ready for geometry next year because of how much I still do not understand in algebra 1. That despite the fact I passed, I'd like to do summer school to help me out and get me on a better track for geometry. There were a lot more words but I'm paraphrasing." I say.

"Sounds pretty reasonable to me." She says.

"You sort of never answered my texts." She says.

"Don't take it personal, I don't answer anyone's. Everyone gets left on read." I say.

"Well I'd like it if you spent the summer at my house." She says.

So Dianna and Eddie are really going to pass me back to Demi. I've been here less than 2 months and they are already done with me again?

"On a single condition." I say.

"Being?" She asks.

"You have to take me to meet a friend in San Diego." I say.

"That is doable." She says.

Huh, I really thought she'd tell me no. Maybe I should've added more to my terms and conditions.

"Want to tell me about this friend?" She asks.

"No, details are disclosed." I say.

I get out of my bed and grab my duffle bag and walk to my closet and just grab a bunch of random clothes and shove them into the bag.
