Ch. 14

Coralys pov

I've been in the room for an hour with Tyler, Jenna, Josh, Madison, Will, Mia, Tatum, Zach, Pepper, Jay, Ashley, Abigail, Jordan, and Debby and I'm still doing my very best to contain my inner fangirl.

"Ok I hate to kill the fun, but I do need you to do homework. I promised Dianna I'd make you do homework." Debby says.

"But it's so late." I whine, "I'm not even going to be able to do it because I can't concentrate. I need to do it in the 9 hours my medicine is effective so that I can concentrate and it's not all overwhelming and I have an anxiety attack over nothing." I rant.

"Don't you have English? I think you only have to read one chapter and answer a few questions don't you?" She asks.

"But I haven't read any of the book and I use google to answer my questions for me. So why read it? I'll watch the movie before the essay. I've got this." I say.

"I have no knowledge you chest on your homework." Debby says.

"Well if you let me cheat I'll do my history review too." I say.

"Do what?" She asks.

I smile as I pull my history and English binder out of my backpack, "study." I say innocently.

"Right." She nods.

I find the quizlet links's and in under 45 minutes my history review and English quiz is done and I put both back in the binder and toss it into my bag, "I'll do algebra 1 tomorrow. But I need my brain for that and my brain is just not here. It's sort of in la la land now." I say.

"As long as it gets done, I don't really care how it gets done. However I have no idea you're cheating." Debby says.

I pull my phone out of my pocket to see an Instagram notification from Demi. Yes, I have those turned on because despite me not liking Demi, I do like to judge her and stay in the loop on her personal life.

I open the Instagram notification and see her, Madison, Dallas, Dianna, and Eddie all in a photo with Demi's caption being 'So happy everyone could make it tonight, it's been kinda lonely. I'm happy to have my family here to support me tonight, it's gonna be a great concert 😝' and I stare at the caption kinda hurt.

I read the comments which immediately point out the "everyone" bit of her comment.

Lovaticforever: So is Coraly just no longer part of the family? Love you sis but uh, wtf.

lonelylovatic: Why put "everyone" if Coraly isn't in the photo? That's not everyone and it's kinda confusing to know if she's there to not. It's probably really hurtful for her to see if she isn't there too. At least make note of Coralys absence and at least say you miss her in that caption. Or explain to us she's there just not in the photo.

_nightinegaledemi_: Coraly isn't even in Dallas, she's in California with Debby. Check Debby's IG story. Love you the most queen but that wasn't the best wording especially when Coraly isn't there.

"I'm sure she didn't mean to word it that way." Debby says looking over my shoulder.

"Yeah she did. She always does, but it's whatever. I told you before it doesn't really bother me. I meant that too. I've felt and experienced a lot worse, words don't hurt me. I'm not bothered by it. Honestly a bit surprised Demi's stans are calling her out and backing me up. Are we living in an alternate universe now? Since when do Demi stans call her out? What a crazy day." I say.

"I don't think she intended to word it the way she did, I think she just worded it badly." Debby says.

"No, she meant to word it the way she did. She is doing one of two things right now. She hasn't noticed my lack of attendance and genuinely thinks everyone is at her concert. Or she's trying to throw a stab with side shade at me for not being there. I personally believe it's option one because when things went south at Demi's last concert, it took them all 6 hours to realize I ran away from the arena. How? I still have no idea considering they were all in the dressing room. Wasn't until Dianna mentioned a painting of Demi's rat dogs I did that lead to the realization I was missing. It wasn't even Dianna who realized I was gone, that was Madison. If I'm kidnapped I really hope my fate isn't in their hands to find me because I'll just be dead." I say.
