Normal POV~
Silently, Pharaoh Atem glared at the incubus in front of him. Said person fell to their knees when they felt a blow to their chest, gasping at the pain.
"What the hell? What are you?" Owen gasped, tears forming in his eyes from the agony, but he resisted and pushed them back.
"I'm Pharaoh Atem," The Pharaoh said in a monotone voice. Waving his hand, some shadows simply appeared out of nowhere behind the demon and entered him.
"Let's see how you can fight while you're blind," Atem suggested, his face stone cold as the incubus stood up, shutting his eyes.
"I can still hear you, blinding me won't make a difference. I will kill you." Owen muttered, only hearing gentle footsteps.
"Alright then, let's see what you're capable of, I doubt you'll be able to get a single scratch on me."
"Hmph, let's see about that," Owen smirked, aiming a punch at the Pharaoh. Though he lazily moved quicker and dodged the punch.
"Right here." What in the world? Was he on the left or the right?
"Come on, I thought you said blinding you won't make a difference? Hurry it up."
"Damn... you!" After several moments of trying to kill a being that was faster than you, Atem had enough and caught Owen's fist and twisted it so he was restraining him.
"Listen here, I've had enough of this, I'm sick of your plans and your returns, just stay in hell, go that?" He said calmly, gripping tighter.
"Go ahead, kill me, my brother will get out of hell somehow, and kill you." Owen threatened, smirking.
"I'm not scared of such thing, you know I'll just kill him like yourself, don't make this any harder than it already is," Atem said, frowning.
"He's stronger, much stronger than me, and the oldest of my family. Even if you're in this form, you won't be able to defeat him." Owen said, his tail slowly inching its way towards Atem's neck.
"As I said just a second ago, I'm not scared of him, nor you," The Pharaoh leaned down towards the incubus's ear, stopped the tail with a spell and whispered, "so burn in hell, you demon." A snap was heard and Owen whimpered as he was dropped on the floor, fuck, his bone broke. His eyes widened as a spell was chanted. Why couldn't he move? Why couldn't he move?!
"And stay there where you belong!" Atem exclaimed, a hole appeared and absorbed the incubus.
"Just you wait! My brother will find you and you'll pay dearly!!" The Pharaoh hated to admit it, but he was somewhat relieved that it was over, no more Owen...
Paying no mind to him anymore, he ran to his lover's body. It was cold, so cold and fragile...
"I'm so sorry, Yami... I couldn't save you... I have failed you, I failed everyone..." He murmured, hugging the pale man's body.
"No... you haven't failed them yet..." Atem turned his head and saw the demon's reincarnation, limping towards them.
"I want... Yami to live... I don't care if he doesn't love me..." Jake panted, holding something in his hand close.
"Sacrifice me, it's the only way... a life for a life, that's how it goes... and give him my shard, it'll give him energy..." Jake offered, clumsily handing the Pharaoh his light shard.
"I didn't think you had it in you, I thought you wouldn't change," Atem said, glancing at the battered body.
"Yami knew that I had the possibility to be a good man, I could see it in his eyes when he gave us that small lecture." The being of light smiled and sighed.
"I don't have much to live for anyway, so hurry up and save him, this building will soon crumble and we'll be crushed," Jake warned sitting by Yami.
"This might be the only time I'll thank you, Jake. When- If- you come back, for whatever reason, try to not activate your inner demon, you know what happened with Owen." The reincarnation nodded and closed his eyes.
"I hope you protect him, if not, I'll crawl out of hell and protect him myself." Atem grinned, were they forming a bond?
"Well then, good luck," Atem said, sighing before standing up.
"~~~" After chanting some spell, Jake went limp, the color drained from him, Yami's hand twitched and his normal pale color returned.
"Yami...?" Atem whispered, raising an eyebrow and kneeling beside him. Crimson-amethyst eyes opened and stared at the tanned man before him.
"A-Atem? Are... Are you really here?" The pale man stuttered, tears forming in his eyes. The Pharaoh nodded and smiled when his beloved hugged him tightly.
"How? I- I thought I was dead, I saw angels! Or is this actually heaven?" Yami's voice was mumbled by the tunic Atem was wearing.
"Fortunately, you're alive," Atem stated, his eyes twinkling with happiness.
"But how? Owen killed me? I felt it happen?"
"A life for a life, Yami, and Jake sacrificed himself for you," Atem said, pointing his head to Jake's body. As soon as Yami rotated his head he gasped.
"We... We need to bury his body, a proper funeral... Please Até." Yami pleaded guilty.
"Of course we will, but, he did say to give you this." Atem picked up the glass shard and broke it, watching it go to Yami, who moaned.
"That hurt a bit," He whined, wincing. Ruining the small moment, was a crumbling just behind them.
"We must go, now!" Atem exclaimed, summoning a portal. He picked the motionless light up and took his lover's hand and jumped in.
