"Thank you for saving me." Arthit said sincerely when he was standing near the bedroom door, ready to leave.

"I should have come way sooner." Kongpop only brushed him off, not knowing how to react to his sudden gratitude. He was about to apologize but then he changed his mind. Kong had already apologized to him twice, yet Arthit didn't even react to it.

"I'll be going then." Arthit nodded awkwardly and tried the door handle. What followed next was a couple of embarrassing seconds when he struggled to open the locked door.

"Okay, what the fuck Kongpop." Arthit went off immediately. He said it so casually like he and Kong were friends and he just pissed him off.

"Why are you giving me that look? It's 8 pm. They always lock it at this time, it's, what you would call, a 'bedtime.' I don't even have the key." Kongpop continued to fold his freshly dried clothes and ignored Arthit's intense stare.

"I don't want to spend a night here, again," Arthit exclaimed with a frown.

"There's still a window for you to get out, though I prefer you use that exit alone this time. We're on a ninth floor, just to let you know." Kong smirked while taking his pajamas from a drawer and headed to the bathroom.

So now I have to share a bed with him? Isn't he getting too cocky all of a sudden? Arthit kept frowning while measuring the size of the bed. It was big enough to fit three people there, but he still preferred to have a smaller space for himself than larger but shared one.

Despite the room being one of the fanciest in the whole facility, it only had two larger armchairs, no sofa for Arthit to occupy. The carpet on the floor seemed soft and thick enough to provide at least some comfort, but it was something he didn't prefer.

After a short consideration of every option, Arthit had to settle with the large bed. The rational part of his mind told him to stop being childish and get over one night like this.

He shyly crawled on the mattress and put one of the dozen pillows in the middle to prevent himself from rolling over Kong.

It didn't even matter it was only 8pm, Arthit was feeling very tired. His mental and physical state were kind of balanced at the moment, but the more he was lying in the dark, the heavier was the blanket on his body. He tried to shift a few times but it didn't help, Arthit was slowly being suffocated by his overwhelming emotions.

When Kongpop finally came out of the shower and noticed the darkened bedroom, an immediate red flag hit him.

"P'Arthit?" He whispered into the dark while he approached the bed. "Are you okay?" His speaking became again so smooth and gentle like he was talking to a wounded child.

Since he didn't get any response, he decided to slip under the blanket as well to make Arthit feel more like they were on the same level.

"P'... are you asleep?" Kong tried again after some time. Arthit finally shook his head. If Kongpop's eyes weren't able to adjust to the darkness so easily, he wouldn't have seen this move. "Do you want to talk about it? Or you can just hold my hand if it helps..." he tried to be as appropriate as possible. A hug would not be acceptable even in Kong's dreams.

"...hand." Arthit muttered after a while and turned around to face the other man lying next to him. He reached to him and gently touched Arthit's cold hand.

"Are you cold?" Kong asked and moved a bit closer to him.

"I don't know... I can't stop shivering." He admitted while his teeth were hitting against each other.

Kongpop realized in an instant it was a mental shiver rather than Arthit being physically cold.

"I'll... I'll hug you, if you don't mind, P'Arthit." Kong offered, carefully thinking it through. He wasn't trying to take advantage of Arthit, he just couldn't stand the state he was in.

Kong was dying to hug him from the moment he saw him lying on the bathroom floor.

"...o-okay." Arthit whispered and snuggled closer until he was invading Kong's personal space.

"Is it okay, P'?" He asked once again before wrapping his arms around him.

"U-hm." Arthit confirmed and immediately found himself surrounded by warmth. It was like a protective shield was formed around him and he wasn't feeling scared anymore.

"Are you really fine with this?" Kong had to ask again, in case the person he was hugging suddenly changed his mind.

"It feels nice..." Arthit breathed out more to himself than to Kong. "I'll bite you if you ask again." He muttered while burying himself more into Kongpop's body.

It felt amazing. Kong was so strong but had calming energy around him when it was necessary. He wasn't reckless nor quick-tempered. He was warm and made Arthit feel safe. It only resulted in Arthit falling asleep almost instantly and having a peaceful sleep.

Kongpop, on the other hand, was still dying from how cute was Arthit acting and did his best to remember every detail of that moment. He didn't get any sleep that night.

Managed to update on time! Hope you're not having a bad week, but if you do, don't worry! The sweetest end starts with the sour beginning.

Take care, you were all so kind in the last chapter's comment section, though you don't have to thank me for an update! 😭

Since I update regularly, the length of some chapters might drop under 1000 words, thanks for your understanding! 🤗❤️
