Chapter 12

Why the fucking hell did YOU come here?! Kongpop screamed in his mind but kept his calm face.

"Somebody has come to save you, isn't this your lucky day?" Tum asked while he recharged his gun.  Kongpop's heartbeat started to increase quickly.

"Tum. I came here to find out what happened a few months ago. Since you won't give me the answer I want, there's no need for me to stay here any longer." Kongpop said, realizing only chance for nobody to get hurt is to walk away now.

"Where do you think you're going? We're not done." Tum shouted and aimed at Kongpop's back when he turned around.

Arthit was very confused and the gun in his hand was shaking. He'd come here because of the noises but the adrenaline has started to worn out and he was scared.

He could get so easily killed, judging by the number of guns in the room. Why the fuck did I come here? He thought to himself, thinking about running off quickly.

"You, come closer." Tum ordered and pointed the gun on Arthit who was standing still, completely frozen. He didn't move an inch and continued standing like a statue.

"Didn't you hear me? Kongpop! Tell your dog to come closer, it seems like it only listens to its owner." Tum's nerves were pretty difficult to trigger, but he absolutely hated when someone didn't listen to him.

"Come here." Kongpop extended one of his hands towards Arthit. He automatically accepted it and Kong pulled him close. At the same time, Kong managed to take the gun from his hand to be at least somehow armed.

"As I've said, we've got no other business with you." Kongpop said while pushing Arthit behind his back to at least partially protect him.

"Why are you hiding him so persistently?" Tum raised his left eyebrow and stood up. "Is he your bitch, by any chance?" He asked with a grin.

Arthit that was still in a state of paralyzing fear suddenly woke up.

"What did you say?" He asked boldly back while making eye-contact. Tum was also a bit surprised by his courage.

"I asked if you're his bitch." He came closer while returning the eye-contact.

"Take it back, now." Arthit demanded with fearful expression while Kongpop, who was still holding his hand, was squeezing it so tightly it blocked the blood flow. "If you think I would ever even slightly agree to be something like that, you're a disgusting piece of shit. Being's his bitch?! I'm his-"

"Lover." Kongpop interrupted him and kicked Arthit in the leg. "He's my lover. So don't you fucking dare to touch him." He declared with even scarier expression that had than now speechless Arthit. "We're leaving." Kong stated and started walking towards the door while dragging his supposed lover behind.

Tum was so surprised he didn't react until they left the room. He'd noticed the mark on Arthit's neck and shook his head in disbelief. He tossed the gun in his hand to one of his guards and drank the leftover whiskey in his glass.

"Fucking hell." He cursed out loud before throwing the glass against the wall, making it break down to dozen of pieces.

"What the fuck was that?!" Arthit pushed Kongpop away once they exited the building. "I'm not your fucking lover."

"I just saved your ass, watch your behavior." Kongpop shot him with his sight and continued walking towards his car. The driver was already inside.

"What do you mean you saved my ass? I rushed in and this is your response?" Arthit asked in complete disbelief.

"Are you trying to say you were hurrying up to help me?"

"N-No! Freaking no! I was just checking... whatever. I wasn't going to save you." Arthit's confident talk turned to unhearable muttering. Kongpop would smile at his confusing behavior, but the whole Clown group rushed out of the building the same moment.

"What the fuck went wrong?! We almost had him! Arthit!!! What the fuck have you done?!" Prem yelled while running towards them. When they saw their boss with a gun he took previously from Arthit, everyone slowed down.

"Boss, please don't rush it." Knot said slowly while tip-toeing.

"He might have messed up but it was his first time and it's our fault as well, punish us all equally." Tutah added and received a bunch of death-stares from his mates.

"Right! I was also wrong, Arthit didn't mess up... that much." Prem's temper went down as quickly as it went up.

"It was Rome right here all along! He sneezed!" Bright pointed at his partner and received a kick for it.

Kongpop, who didn't understand at first what they all were blabbering about realized that a golden opportunity has landed in front of him. Nobody really messed up in this operation, it should have never happened in a first place. Kongpop shouldn't have been so naïve and come to this place while thinking so highly of himself.

But now he had a potential culprit right in front of him. Kong himself would look only less capable and trustworthy as a boss if failing the mission alone, but now he had somebody to blame.

He threw the gun on the ground and pretended to be angry while shaking his head.

"I'll let you go since you've got so many begging people on your side. Listen, all of you!" Kongpop yelled and everyone, thus Prem, Tutah, Knot, Joan, Gin, Bright, and Rome came closer while holding their breaths.

"If you don't want your member to be punished, you can never talk about this mission in front of anyone else. If the rumors spread around about him ruining it all, he has to die. Understand?" Kong quickly explained, making sure no other people from Shining Moon know about this failure. He would've really need to punish Arthit for something he didn't do, that was against his beliefs.

With that, Kong turned around, got into the car and drove off. Arthit didn't even have a chance to speak before it was over.

I'm sorry, P'. Kong did something he wouldn't expect to do and apologized to him, at least in his mind. Though it's partially your fault as well.

Hehe, I was able to keep my promise so I'm happy! Next update should be out on Friday, stay tuned!

Everything will be slowly explained and unfolded, Arthit's background will also be revealed in next few chapters and a bit of bonding with Kong will finally happen!
