29. The Forest Trip

(Timeskip-1 week later)

It has been a week since the I-Island incident so the students involved in the crisis have been relaxing for a bit. Mr. Aizawa, who had heard of the incident, was lenient enough to postpone the trip a week later to allow the students to recuperate from the attack. The conversation with Betty was a bit much. She was all over him crying hysterically though she wasn't the worst of it.

Nejire was a complete wreck. Once his phone was disconnected with her's she tried calling him back instantly only to receive no answer. Usually, she'd get a text message from him, saying his internet was down and he was on data or something, anything but he's never gone ghost on her like that before. Sooner or later, a emergency news alert stated that I-Island was somehow under lockdown due to a bomb threat. It was soon reported shortly after that news channels had lost all contact with the reporters on the Island so it was really beginning to worry her.

Once communications we're back up, a few news stations must've sent helicopters and drones in the area as the fight with the main villain was broadcasted on several news channels where she saw the battle where All Might, Midoriya and Rowe gave their all and stopped the villain. Once she saw this, she was crying hysterically that she saw them put their all into trying to stay alive while she sits on her bed, watching this and being powerless to do anything. So once she recieved a call from Delsin himself saying he was home currently after just getting back, she raced over to his apartment on the double, trip over multiple steps as the elevator was moving too slow for her, barged into his empty apartment and tackled him to the floor.

He laughed wholeheartedly when she squeezed him tightly. "You give me so much anxiety and stress, you realize that?" She mumbled while silent tears fell from joy of him being home and safe with her. "I know. But isn't that the best part of being in a relationship with me?" He smiled. "Not when you do it constantly". He chuckled as leaned up to kiss her gently. She responded to it, melting into it easily like heated chocolate. She pulled back and looked around. "Where is my beautiful mother-slash-aunt in law?" She asked.

"Betty is actually not here. Yeah apparently, she has a date with a....certain someone" he said distastefully. "Aww...thats nice! You should be happy that she's getting out there to see new men. You told me she hasn't seen anyone in.....forever". Delsin sighed as he lifted Nejire off him, sitting up on the ground, cross-legged. "I know and I am happy at the idea if Betty meeting new people, eventually finding love and getting married but-". "Wait! Don't tell me.....are you....are you worried that a man might come and take your auntie away from you? Awww! thats so cute!".

Hado began to hug her boyfriend when she heard that. It made him sound like a little kid. "What? No! No, I'd be happy if someone took Betty off my hands. I mean I love her to death and she was and to extent, still is my everything but I have grown my circle of love, mainly to you, Momo, my best friend Izuku, and my entire class. But I'm afraid Betty will have no one once I move outta here and begin my life, ya know? Now that she's beginning to do that, I'm happy but It's just....who she chose that kinda upsets me" he said, clenching his fists.

(Mini Flashback).

Delsin began to walk out the elevator that reached his floor with Izuku. The two were equally exhausted from fighting Wolfram, even though they fought him yesterday, so they had time to eat, sleep, sleep some more and their favorite; sleep, they were still tired, especially Delsin. Since letting go of the RFI, his body began going through withdrawal. He felt a bit weak, woozy even from the raw power he emerged from his unprepared body.

The only reason he isn't comatose right now is due to the RFI being the core piece, that channeled the energy, the thing that balanced everything out, the RFI being the denominator. Right now, he just needed to eat and again, sleep to calm his body. He waved goodbye to the broccoli boy, who as soon as he opened the door, he could hear his mother cry out loud and run to her son.
