{Silver's POV}

I was standing next to Edmund, and Lucy looked at me. "Did you two have finally figured it out?" She asked.

"Oh shut up Lucy."

We both said, and she chuckled at us both. "No matter what happens here... every soul who stands before me, has earned their place, on the crew of the Dawn Treader." Caspian said.

"Together, we have traveled far. Together, we have faced adversity. Together, we can do it again."

Caspian said, and looked at all of us, from his place standing above us now as a King, and a true king no doubt of Narnia. "So now is not the time to fall to fear's temptations. Be strong. Never give in. Our world... our Narnian lives depend on it." Caspian said.

"Think of the lost souls, that we are here to save. Think of Aslan, the one who brought you the four children. The one who gave us the Protector, who has protected Narnia for many years. Think. Of. Narnia!"

Caspian said.

"For Narnia!"

"For Narnia!"

"For Narnia!" I heard Lucy scream over the sounds of the other cries of the crew members.

"For Narnia! And for Aslan!" I shouted, echoing Peter's battle cry from the first battle.

The Dawn Treader sailed into the darkness and now, the green mist was surrounding us.

I looked at Edmund, and gripped his hand tightly, as I saw Jadis in the mist, and I looked at him. "Don't."

I said quietly, and our hands were tight together, and we both held our swords in our hands. He held Peter's, and I now held Loyalty.

"Edmund, come with me." Jadis said, and next to her, I saw Maugrim in the fog. "Ed..." I whispered. "I know."

He said. "Be my King." Jadis said, from the fog. "I'll let you rule." She said. "Go away."

Edmund said, and I felt him, clenching my hand harder, and I let him, knowing it was to anchor him.

"You have failed me again."

I heard Maugrim say.

"You are a foolish young girl. You never would have survived on your own. I didn't kill your mother, you did! You should have run! Like you always do."

Maugrim said, and I squeezed Edmund's hand, blinking back tears of shame. "You're dead."

Edmund said, and I looked at him.

"Don't think about it." I said, and he looked at me. "You can never kill me, I'll always be alive in your mind, silly boy." She said.

Edmund and I were still hand-locked together when Lucy woke us both up, and she looked at us.

"Are you two all right?" She asked, and I looked at him, and he nodded at her concern.

"Just this place, trying to mess with us." I said, squeezing his hand, and he squeezed back.

"Keep away!" Someone was shouting from within the fog. "Keep away!" The same voice was shouting.

"Who's there?" Edmund shouted into the fog. "We do not fear you!" Caspian shouted. "Nor I you." The man said.

"Keep away!" He shouted again, as Edmund shined his torch on him, and I widened my eyes beyond belief.

"Caspian. Caspian, his sword."

Edmund said, and Caspian's eyes widened. "Lord Roop!" Caspian said, coming down from the wheel.

"You do not own me!" He shouted at us, and I looked at Caspian. "He's gone mad." I said quietly.

"Stand down." Caspian ordered, and everyone backed away. "Let's get him on board, quickly." He said.

"Help him up."

Caspian said. "Ready, sir." A sailor said, but suddenly Eustace swooped down, and dropped the poor Lord, right in the middle of our deck.

"Be calm, my lord." Caspian said. "Off me, demon!" Lord Roop shouted, and he was swinging his sword.

"No, my lord. We are not here to hurt you." Caspian said. "I am your king, I am King Caspian."

He said, and the Lord turned around.

"Caspian?" He whispered. "My lord?"

He said, shaking and trembling. "You should not have come. There's no way out of here." He said. "Quickly!..."

The Lord shouted.

"We have the sword! Let's go!" Edmund shouted. "Drinian! Turn her about Drinian. Now!"

Caspian shouted.

"Aye-aye, Your Majesty." Drinian said.

"Do not think! Do not ever let it know what of your fears, or it will become... them."

The lord Roop said, and Edmund gulped. "Oh, no." He said, and I looked at him.

"Edmund, what did you just think of?"

Lucy said. "Oh, I'm sorry."

He said, and I went over to the railing with him, and we looked out, and into the sea. "Of all things."

I said quietly, and suddenly, it felt like a huge something, had just suddenly a slammed into our ship.

"Look!" Caspian said, rising, and I looked at it. "Drinian!" I shouted, and Roop shook his head.

"It's too late. It's too late!" He shouted.

"It's gone under the boat!"

A sailor shouted. "Gael!"

Lucy screamed at the girl, who had backed up and was now screaming as the Serpent reared up behind her.

"Move! Run!" Lucy shouted, pulling the girl to her, and I drew Loyalty and my knife, standing next to Edmund.

"Don't let me down. No fear. No retreat!" Reepicheep called, and I looked up. "Hold fast!"

I shouted, and the sailors were now just as equally listening to me in their panic.

Then a blast of flames hit the Serpent in the face, as Eustace flew by, with a certain mouse on his face.

"Eustace, hang on!" Reepicheep shouted at Eustace, who was doing his best all things considered.

Eustace was thrown off, and got hit into a rock, and then apparently, he had gotten angry, because he blasts flames right into the Serpent's open maw. "Stop him!" Caspian shouted.

"Hold fast!" I shouted, and held onto my sword and knife, as the rowers of course were running at double speed.

I was thrown onto the side of the deck, and I was almost knocked right through it.

I had both of my legs, now hanging out of the hole, and Edmund grabbed my hand, and pulled hard, and yelled, as he dragged me back up.

I nodded.
