(I apologize for my absence I was dealing with some personal stuff and also wattpad kept deleting my chapters so sorry for the constant reuploading)

New years day 1985 ~ Hopper's cabin.

Seven and Billy were now in her room. She had to use her powers to get them there, not wanting to alert Hopper. The two teens hadn't spoke a word since the events that transpired at the party.

Billy was furious, wanting to go back to the party and finish that guy off. Seven however was terrified, not because of Billy or the boy at the party, but the memories that came like a tidal wave.

Billy watches in silence as Rose draped the denim jacket across her desk chair. Something was wrong, he could feel it, she wasn't saying a word and he saw how scared she was at the party.

"Can you unzip me?". Her voice was quiet, and shaky, catching Billy off guard. Seven turned around, her back facing Billy, and he gently placed her hair on one of her shoulders, which earned a sigh of contentment from Seven who reviled into his touch.

He calmed her nerves, making her feel safe. He ran his fingers across her collarbones and shoulders lightly, before slowly unzipping her dress. He placed his hand on her hip after he unzipped her dress.

Billy gasped when he saw the scars. Seven flinched when she heard him, feeling disgusted with herself.

"Who did this to you?" She could hear the anger and pure agony in his voice. She couldn't answer him, she felt her head starting to get dizzy as she thought of the man that gave her those scars. Billy placed his hand on her shoulder lightly and was met with her thoughts, she was allowing him to see what she went through.

He grabbed her by her hair without warning causing her to let out a pained yelp. He dragged her to the corner if the room, throwing her down on her stomach, and before she could comprehend, she felt her back ring with pain as he whipped her.

"Ahhh!!" She cried out as lash after lash was sent to her back. She could feel her skin opening as he kept hitting her. Soon there was silence, he stopped his assault.

"If you disobey me again, I'll do much worse." He spoke in English this time, his voice thick and harsh.

Billy felt his eyes prick with tears at the memory he saw. He felt Rose's body shake as she cried and without hesitation he turned her around and buried her face into his chest.

"It's okay. As long as I'm here, no one is going to hurt you." He promised.

He would never let anyone hurt her again, not while he still breathed.

"You promise?" Her voice cracked as she spoke.

Billy looked her dead in the eye and fiercely replied, "I promise."

He placed his forehead against hers and closed his eyes and held her close.

March 24th 1985 ~ Hawkins, Indiana. Billy Hargrove's Birthday.

Seven had planned the perfect day for her Billy. It was Billy's birthday, and when she found out two weeks ago from Max, so she immediately dragged Nancy to help her plan, much to the brunette's dismay.

She had planned on putting her powers to good use and had planned a perfect day in sunny California. She was in her room at six a.m. checking over everything she had packed.

The best part about this was the fact that Billy had no idea what was going on. The worst part was Hopper had no idea what was going on, but she couldn't care, she just wanted to make Billy happy.

Billy made his way downstairs to find his sister eating breakfast.

"Let's go shitbird." He said sleepily.

Max stopped eating her breakfast and followed her brother out the door. Once they made it inside of his car, Billy turned his music on and didn't realize Max was handing him something until he started to reverse out of their driveway.

It was a card, handmade at that and he was slightly confused as to why she was giving him anything at all. He took it from her and was about to open it but Max stopped him.

"Can you wait until you drop me off?" Her cheeks were flushed from the cold air and nervousness.

Billy looked at her with a raised brow and felt his asshole facade drop as he placed the card on his dashboard.

Seven stepped out of Johnathan's car as he parked in the school's lot. She was going to surprise Billy with her presence and they were going to have a nice day, hopefully.

"Good luck." Nancy said as her and Johnathan headed into the school.

Billy pulled into his school's parking lot and parked in his usually spot. He pulled the card from his dash and opened it.

'Happy birthday, big bro' caught his eye immediately, he couldn't believe he forgot his own birthday, and that Max had gotten him something.

'I know we don't have the best relationship, and I'm sorry for judging you so quickly. You hurt me a lot in the past, but you're changing for the better, and I know despite the shitty things you did most of it was to protect me, so thank you, for trying, for being a brother to me'.

Billy wiped his eyes as they started to water, he grabbed the card and put it into his bag and stepped out of his car with a genuine smile on his face.

He was trying, and that's all that mattered.
