July 4th 1985 ~ Hawkins, Indiana

The upside down was cold and dark. When Seven passed out from the serum the soldier gave her, she was met with the other dimension.

"El? Nancy?" She called out, even though she knew it was no use.

She stumbled as she got up, she looked around and realised she was in the Starcourt Mall, but vines covered the majority of it. She heard thunder clapping, and she whipped her head around and walked towards the entrance of the building.

When she got out, she saw red and angry clouds raging over the dark version of Hawkins. She stood frozen as the scene change,it was her memories she was seeing.

Each one from her training was being replayed and twisted into something much darker, she felt her eyes water as she listened to screaming, if all the innocent lives that fell victim to her hand.

The last memory was when she was about two years old, she watched as her younger self played with her brother, Mark, as they sat isolated in a white room. The door opened to reveal a man that wore a scowl on his face, his hair was dark, like Mark's, but his eyes matched the piercing blue of the blonde.

He was their father.

He walked over to his children and was about to pick her younger self up, but was shock by Mark, who sent a jolt of electricity through him.

"отойди от нее!" -(Get away from her!)

The little boy shouted at his father as he didn't want his sister to go through the same experiment he did.

She let out a sharp scream when the memory changed to her, alone with her father who injected her with a serum, that looked similar to the one he Russian injected her with.

"Seven!" Hopper shouted loudly as the blonde screamed loudly as she jolted forward.

Seven looked around and was met with the worried eyes of the party, her father, Joyce, and a man she didn't recognize.

She couldn't help but sink further into Hopper's embrace as her body shook slightly at the memory she just saw.

Billy's body moved liked an animated character as the strings were being pulled by the puppeteer. The monster was close to ending the boy's mind but Billy kept fighting, now digging into the deep depths of his mind and replayed the memory of him as a child with his mother.

He held tight to the memory as his car started without his consent and his body drove to the starcourt mall where he would hurt the people he cared for.

"Where's Mark?" Seven asked Mallory, as the rest of their group made it to their vehicles.

"They got him." The curly brunette answered her ex lover.

"He's still down there?!" Her eyes held slight fear and worry.

"Yeah, he knew the only way for us to get out was for one of us to stay, so he stepped forward." Mallory explained as she recalled her ex tormentor put his life at risk for them.

"But Hopper will get him back." Mallory reassured the blonde, whose shoulders relaxed slightly.

"Mal, you ready?" They heard Robin ask from behind them.

"I'm coming." She answered softly and hugged Seven. They squeezed each other, promising the other that they would be safe, before departing for the night.

Seven made her way to her group and the went outside and piled into Nancy's station wagon.

"Are you okay?" Eleven asked her sister as they entered the vehicle so they could head to Murray's.

The blonde glanced to her sister and nodded, giving her a tight smile, causing the younger to frown.

"We're gonna be okay." Eleven reassured, knowing her sister was trying to put on a brave face for everyone. They looked to the front seat, when they heard Nancy let out a curse.

"Didn't your mom just buy this car?" Lucas asks from the back.

"Yes!" Nancy said in frustration as she tried to start the vehicle.

"Pop the hood for me." Seven said, getting out of the car.

When she went to the front of the vehicle she pulled the hood up and examined the inside. Her eyebrows furrowed she realized that the ignition cable was gone.

"What's wrong?"  Nancy asked he friend.

"Your ignition cable's gone." She answered, but she felt the hairs on the back of her neck raise when the roar of her boyfriend's camaro rang through her ears.

Seven felt her hope bloom in her chest as she looked into his eyes from across the lot, he was resisting. She moved from the hood of the car and dismissed the protests from her friends. She walked forward, stopping about twenty feet away from Billy's car, and watched as he kept revving his engine in warning.

"Billy." She closed her eyes and entered his mind.

"Billy, can you hear me?" She asked him.

"Run." His voice pleaded, but she stayed put, not moving, with her eyes closed as she continued to talk to him.

"Billy, I need you to hold on for a bit longer, okay?"

"Rosie, please." She could hear him crying now, as he pleaded for her to move.

Her eyes shot open when she heard the car speed towards her, but she stood her ground, looking into his eyes.

Tears glossed over the dark veins on his skin as his body wouldn't stop the car, he let out scream through his clenched teeth when he was about four feet in front of her.

"Billy!" She screamed when the yellow car Steve was driving, rammed into the side of the camaro, causing it to swerve and flip over three times before stopping on the other side of the lot.

She was about to run to the car, but she felt Johnathan wrap his arms around her and pulled her into the mall.

"No!!" She cried out as she watched the powerful car smoked, even though it still held the the human boy inside.
