(Dalena's POV)
(One Year Later)
I close my eyes as I feel Justine, my makeup artist, gently apply eyeshadow on my eyelids.
"I lost my flowers!" I hear Christine, one of our flower girls, aka Rosie's eight-year-old cousin.
"How can you lose them already? I JUST GAVE THEM TO YOU!" Rosie's temper releases as I hear her stomping her high heels across the dressing room.
"I WANT MY FLOWERS!" Christine grunts.
"Maybe it's better to not give you any since you keep BLOODY losing them!" Rosie yells.
"Hey! Quiet down!" I fire back, as Justine finishes applying the shadow.
"She's making me insane, Dalena!" Rosie cries. "I'm trying to get ready and she keeps losing the stupid flowers!"
"There are new ones at the second door down the hallway." I wink at Christine.
"Are you ready yet?" Rodger barges in, looking handsome in his dark gray tux. "My oh my! The dress looks a lot better in person!"
"Thank you Rodger!" I gleam. "Do you mind taking Christine down the hallway to get new flowers?"
"I like Dalena. She's nice to me. UNLIKE YOU." Christine stomps on Rosie's foot.
"AHHHHH!" Rosie shrieks, hopping up and down in pain.
"Feisty isn't she?" Rodger chuckles at Rosie, as she exchanges an enraged expression. "Let's get going Christine!"
He takes Christine by the hand and exits the dressing room.
I hold Rosie back from running after her, "Please, would you mind getting my veil?"
"Why did you INSIST on making Christine your flower girl? Tom has second cousins that would have sufficed!" Rosie gets my veil and carefully applies it on my head.
"Tom's second cousins ARE the other flower girls." I remind her with a laugh. "Come on, I needed a fourth girl to make it look even on the alter."
"Whatever." Rosie shakes her head, and looks at my reflection on the mirror.
"Waaaaaait." Justine sprays on setting spray on my face and I suddenly feel refreshed.
"Thank you." I say to her.
I look back to my reflection, tilt my head, and feel the top glittery lace of my dress. Rosie adjusts the veil once more while Vicky and Joy enter the room and fix the poof on the back.
I glance at all of their baby pink bridesmaid dresses and warmly smile, embracing this moment.
"Shit! My earring!" Joy panics.
