The halfway and in between

Meet ups and coffees?

As a med student, a rad tech student to be exact. Our sched is usually jampacked and it's really hard to plan things with my friends because of these schedules, ganoon rin naman ang bestfriends ko. Engineering students so puro aral din.

Wala akong choice to just listen for this boring seminar at UP Manila. Well this university is always been good at medicine. Ano ba, diba lahat naman magaling ang UP!

I have to jot down notes for this seminar because my professors will surely ask questions regarding in this seminar, naalala ko pa na ginawa nilang quiz 'yung mga tanong wtf!!! And I couldn't dwell another heartbreak for a quiz.

"Ano raw sabi ulit?" I asked my seatmate about what the speaker said nang hindi siya nililingon.

"That if you really wanted to become a doctor, you should always listen to your heart because if you couldn't, you wouldn't." he said.

Napalingon ako sa kanya, seriously? I'm still planning to take an NMAT before graduation, still contemplating things because studying in med school isn't easy. Eto pa nga lang na rad tech halos maloka na 'ko, magmemed pa 'ko

"Sinabi niya talaga 'yan?"

"You didn't listen, did you?"

Hangggggg sungit. Buti gwapo.

Nakinig na lang rin ako dahil wala naman akong magagawa, ang hirap naman kasi magtanong sa mga tao dito baka isipin pa nila mga bobo taga-UMAK uhuhhh excuse me, that's the thing you'll never cross!!!!

After 6 hours of listening, natapos rin. Kahit nakaupo lang ako for the whole 6 hours I feel like I took an exam. Nakakadehydrate nga po ang pakikining about medicine stuffs but well this is what I chose, so be it.

Ininom ko yung natitirang tubig sa bote na pinamigay kanina nila. Buti may mga pa-snack sila baka tuluyan akong maloka sa gutom at informations! Kaloka.

So dahil nakinig lang ako seminar, at hanggang 6 pm lang rin naman si Ren, so we decided to meet at SM Manila and eat our favorite Ramen!!! Agh, you know after a long hours listening about medicine stuffs para akong nakalaya after 20 years being imprisoned ganon ang feeling mga teh!!

Nagjeep na lang ako hanggang city hall, at tinext ko si Ren na malapit na 'ko. She replied that she's on her way na rin, if I know nasa school pa niya 'to!! She likes making me wait.

Nagmeet kami ni gaga sa tapat ng Kenny Rogers at si gaga tuwang-tuwa she even hugged me. Kinuwento ko sa kanya ng nakakalokang seminar at tawang-tawa siya.

"Gosh! I could picture out your face for the whole 6 hours, what a boring" she said while still laughing.

"Hoy nakakaganda ang seminar sa resume no!!" I said. Malapit na kami sa Ramen Kuroda but for sure marami ring tao at maghihintay kami, but ramen is worth waiting for!!!

"May sinabi ba 'kong hindi? Buti ka nga scheduled ang seminars niyo, samantalang ako subject ko ang seminar putek na iyan, sarap tulugan" she wrinkled her nose after she said that. Then, I laughed.

That's the magic of our friendship.

"May pinapa-assignment prof ko sa anatomy, mag-interview raw kami ng med student na talaga"

"And ano naman ang gagawin niyo sa mga interviews na 'yon? Mabibigyan ba ng hustisya ang mga farmers natin because Cynthia Villar is a selfish, self-centered person?" She asked, and I laughed.

Nagreserve kami ng name para sa Ramen Kuroda at nagwait ng ilang minutes.

"Ano sa'yo?" Tanong ko.

"The usual" she said 'di na siya tumingin sa menu "ate, shiro chasumen po"

"Wow, sige ate. Aka Chasumen po sakin"
