I walked through the front door, feeling exhausted of the tiresome day i had outside. So many things were happening out of this four walls, but as soon as I came back inside, it all turned monochromatic again.

But today, it played out differently.

For the first time in months, Jackson had stepped foot out of his room. Lord, how I was thankful. As soon as i walked inside the living room, there he was, with a beer in his hand and the remote on his other, watching God knows what on the TV. A huge smile spread on my face as I carefully sat beside him, scared that my pressence would interrupt his activities.

"you're back" he said, his attention turning to me while a soft smile spread on his face.

The gentleness in his voice, made tears sprout from my eyes, tears i wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for Jackson, who whiped them away for me

"you're back" i said in response, because i knew, the Jackson I knew and loved, was back with me this evening. I found myself carresing his face, tracing the features I had started forgetting, he still had a soft smile on his lips, not one as bright as his usual self, but a loving and genuine smile indeed.

And we stayed like that, I don't know for how long, but there we were, holding each other in tight but gentle embraces, scared of losing each other again, scared this moment would last only for tonight, but it wasn't like that.

"I'm sorry" he said after a while "for being trash, for being useless.. but i promise, i'll try my best, for you, you who has been loving me all along, when i least deserve to be loved.. I promise, you won't regret staying by my side" his words were short, but meaningful. I didn't dare to say a thing, and only nodded my head softly, soft sobs leaving my lips from time to time.

These four walls, started gaining life, again.
