It's a long one! I didn't intend for there to be smut in this chapter but...it's me! Thank you for reading, as always <3

"You look so fucking adorable," I said to Josh as a huge grin grew on my face, looking him up and down. He hadn't disappointed when we had both agreed to be a vampire couple for Halloween--the vampire costume had been my idea for myself, the couple part his idea--with his white shirt half-unbuttoned underneath a black velvet blazer, tight black velvet pants with silver threading up the legs, and black leather boots.
He had even lightly coated his face with a white paint of some kind, or maybe white powder, and had drizzled fake blood along the side of his mouth, a very theatrical touch. What really got me was the teeth--he had managed to put in one fang on each canine and how he got the glue to hold I could never be sure.
"I feel--" Josh began, pausing on the sidewalk with his hands on his hips. "Not like myself. But not in a bad way."
"I'm liking the vampire Josh," I said, moving in close and running my hands down the lapel of his blazer. "Very sexy."
"I thought you said 'adorable.'"
"Josh, you can be adorable and sexy at the same time. That's kind of your whole deal."
He laughed. "Well, darling, you look pretty sexy yourself. Do a spin for me."
I scoffed. "Get out."
"Come on, do a spin, you have those long lace sleeves."
I begrudgingly gave him a slow twirl, holding my arms out so the sleeves did indeed flutter in the air.
Josh pulled me into him and put one hand on my ass. "You should wear dresses more often. I got a glimpse of your panties just then."
"I'll keep that in mind," I laughed and went to kiss him before realizing I didn't want to ruin his makeup. I gave him a petal-soft kiss on his cheek instead. "What are the boys going as?"
"I think Danny is a pirate. Sam is going as a hippie?" Josh told me, running his forefinger and thumb under his chin. "And Jake doesn't do costumes."
"Oh right, he's too cool for that."
"Well, everyone already thinks he's wearing a mask anyway."
"Too bad you guys share the same face."
"I thought I was cuter?"
"Sorry Josh," I said, giving his chest a pat. "I lied. This entire time, I've just been trying to get to Jake."
Josh pinched my ass and I swatted at him. "You love me."
I laughed, squirming away from him. "You got me."
Three drinks in and I was watching Sam and Josh play beer pong. Sam had a better aim but Josh, while wild, still did well considering his nonchalance. When he hooked his elbow back to toss the pong, the silver along his pants shimmered under the lights and, to his left, Sam's beach bum outfit left little to be desired. Despite it being a cold Halloween night he was in nothing more than swim trunks and a few necklaces, his hair swooshing around his shoulders as played, barefoot even on the grubby floor.
Josh and Sam ended up losing--barely--and Josh threw the pong ball in his hand with a screech, chugged the Solo cup of beer in front of him and then Sam's, to which is his brother merely shot him a hard look and whacked him on the arm.
"What are we gonna sing for karaoke?" Josh asked after he calmed down, a little bit of beer foam lingering on his chest.
I held my hands up. "That's all you, Josh."

FanfictionJosh may be annoying--irritating, in fact--but he's also admirable in all of his freedom. Looking up at the stars with him proves to be a way to see who he really is. Warnings: very romantic smut. I'm still trying to think of a hybrid word for "fluf...
