I could see light through my closed eyes and groaned as I rolled over to snuggle up to Jimmy but my hand landed on the mattress instead. I opened my eyes as I groped around, feeling that the warmth was completely gone from the sheets. I blinked a few times as my eyes adjusted to the light peeking through the curtains in Jimmy’s bedroom. I stretched my arms over my head with a grunt and looked over to the clock on the nightstand on Jimmy’s side of the bed. 4:30 am. I groaned as I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair.

“Mornin, beautiful. I was just coming to wake you up to say goodbye.” Jimmy said as he came through the door carrying a tray. I could see a travel mug on one side and a large black mug with a spoon in it on the other. He placed the tray on the nightstand next to me before he leaned down and brushed his lips over mine. “I made you breakfast. Pancakes, cheesy scrambled eggs, and bacon. I also made you some hot chocolate with marshmallow fluff but I’ve got OJ in the fridge if you’d rather have that.”

I sat up straighter and blinked a few more times, still not fully awake. “What? Why are you up and so god damn chipper at four freaking thirty in the morning?” I mumbled.

Jimmy flashed me a bright smile and let out a soft giggle. “It’s Thanksgiving, baby, I gotta get going for the parade soon, but I wanted to pamper you a little first since you’ve got a long day of cooking with my mother and sister ahead of you.”

“My mom will be here with Bridget and Stacy too. I’m not sure if that makes my day easier or harder, I’ll let you know.” I said with a laugh as I placed the tray over my lap and grabbed a strip of bacon and took a bite. “Thank you for this, babe, you really didn’t have to though.”

Jimmy shrugged and sat on the edge of the bed next to my legs and rubbed my thigh. “I know I didn’t have to. I wanted to. I love taking care of you and the baby.”

“I never said I didn’t love it too.” I said with a laugh. “I just said you didn’t have to.”

Jimmy laughed and squeezed my leg. “Well I’m glad you love it because I don’t plan on stopping.”

“I’m fine with that.” I said and took a sip of the hot chocolate and moaned softly. “My god this is heaven.”

“Looks like it.” Jimmy said and pointed to my lips before he leaned in and kissed me softly then pulled away licking his lips. “Mmmm you’re right. Delicious.”

“What time will you be home?” I asked as I started eating.

“After the parade I’ve got to meet Nancy to pick up Winnie but I should be back here at around 2, maybe 3 depending on the traffic.” Jimmy told me before stealing a strip of bacon and taking a bite.

“Just don’t drive like a maniac. Be safe, dinner won’t be done until around 4 or so.” I told him.

“I will.” Jimmy promised. “I have to get going before I’m late.”

“Okay, have fun babe. I love you.”

“I love you too darlin.” Jimmy said before leaning forward and giving me another kiss.

I slapped his hand as he stole another strip of bacon as he stood up. “I’m sure you had plenty before you came in, and I’m eating for two. Baby likes bacon, unlike the chili you made the other day.”

“Don’t worry, little one will learn to love my chili.” He said with a grin as he grabbed his watch off the top of his dresser and slipped it on his wrist, tightening the brown leather band.

Now that I was fully awake I was able to take the time to see what he was wearing at it was one of my favorite outfits of his. Pretty sure he did that on purpose. He had on a light purple button down shirt with a brown v-neck sweater over it, the untucked tails of the shirt hanging lower than the sweater, cream colored pants, and shoes the same brown leather of his watch, and if I know Jimmy at all, his belt matched as well.
