HIM & THE MOON & I

a fist full of sand
that's what HE was
an enigma I couldn't grasp forever
NO-- could barely hold for a moment

HIS smiles were a galaxy
and I was just one star
insignificant, but burning hot
in it's cosmic existence

and I loved HIM
deeper than the greatest canon
higher than the lightest cloud
so I held on tighter than a liana

to think for a moment
just one- it was perfect imperfection
the purest joining
HIM and the MOON and I

but no matter how tight
my grip wasn't strong enough
and I had to watch the sand
helpless
as the last grain fell
