you say you love her
and that's okay
but i see you when you look my way
across the room
your eyes meet mine
with a longing that crosses a line
you made your choice
a bed was made
yet the feelings didn't fade
how can you hold her close
all through the night
then corner me in the moonlight
how do you have the nerve to say
"i don't like the way you held his hand"
like you have any right to demand
when you were the one
who went back to her
my wounded soul can't endure
so keep your jealous words
for i have a heart to defend
"remember" you say, "you chose our end"
