instead of writing an essay for english, i'm writing this. inspiration strikes at any hour.

I ran the brush through my hair once more before setting it down on the counter. I had just finished my morning routine and was about to head downstairs for some breakfast before my phone lying beside me started ringing.

Shawn's name flashed across the screen causing butterflies to take off inside of me. I snatched the phone up quickly before hitting the answer button and pressing the cool metal to my ear.

"Shawn, hey." I said with a bit too eager voice. "Don't people usually wait more than 12 hours before calling after a date?" I asked with a small chuckle.

"Oh- um maybe. I don't really... uh... know the right amount of time to wait before calling. I just didn't want to keep you waiting or- oh not that you're waiting! I know you have your own life and stuff. You're not like waiting for me to just-"

"-Shawn." I said, cutting him off. "You're rambling." I said, giggling softly. I leaned against the wall in my bathroom, a smile spreading across my face.

I heard him sigh, his cheeks probably turning bright pink. "I'm sorry." He mumbled.

"Don't be. It was kinda cute." I said, biting my lip. He made me grin so much.

He chuckled lightly. "I just really like you. That's why I called. I just wanted to tell you I had a great time last night and that I hope I can see you again soon."

I felt like my heart was in my head. "I had a great time too, and I like you too, Shawn."

Neither of us said anything for a moment, I just smiled like an idiot.

"So, can I see you tonight?" He asked.

"Oh! yes, I'm sorry!" I said laughing, realizing I hadn't given him an answer. "Yes, tonight is perfect."

"Perfect." He repeated. "I'll pick you up at 7."

"7 is perfect." I replied.

"Perfect."

A few more moments passed and I continued grinning like a little kid.

"Alright. Well, I'll see you tonight. Bye (y/n)." He said softly.

"Bye, Shawn."

The call ended and I faced myself in the mirror. I was blushing and smiling, my heart was beating quickly, and I felt the butterflies flying around.

He did that to me.

Writing love imagines has been a bit harder recently, I've just been going through a rough patch that I talked a bit about in my last imagine. I just wanted to let y'all know that I am doing much better. I'm not quite great yet but i'm getting there. But I did promise some sweet imagines since the last one was a bit sadder so here we are.

I hope you all liked this little one. Don't forget to vote and comment and as always, I love you all so so so so much and I'll talk to y'all later!

Byeeeeee!
