"I think that's the last box." My dad said, setting down yet another box full of my stuff down on top of the box pile he had created.

I gave him an innocent smile. "There's one more in the front of your car." I said.

He groaned. "I thought I already got that one." He exclaimed.

"No, you got the one in front of Shawn's car." I told him.

He huffed out an annoyed breath, knowing he'd have to walk back outside to grab the box. He complied though. "I'll be back." He said as he left my new dorm room.

I turned to Shawn who was sitting awkwardly on my sheet-less bed. "He doesn't like me (y/n)." He said.

I rolled my eyes. "He does, he just doesn't think we're going to last because I'm going to college and you're following your music career." I said with a laugh.

Shawn laughed but when it didn't touch his eyes I knew something was wrong.

"Okay, what's up? You agree with him now?"

He shook his head quickly. "Not exactly but what if he's right, what if-"

"Stop!" I said, interrupting him. "Shawn, I hate what if statements. We're gonna be fine, I don't understand why you two are so worried about this."

He sighed. "I don't understand why you're not. (y/n), this isn't like high school, I won't be sitting with you at lunch everyday and I won't be a block away from your house. I might be in another state or you might have too many classes or will be studying. You might meet someone else-"

"Shawn," I grabbed his cheek, kissing him on the forehead lightly. "I'm not gonna meet anyone like you, ever. And if you're in another state we'll facetime. If I have class I'll meet you afterwards and if I'm studying you'll come help me study." He frowned lightly. "My love for you isn't about time or distance, it's about you Shawn, and wherever we are, and whatever we're doing, we'll make it work, because I know your love for me is the same."

He gave me a sad smile and leaned up to kiss me softly. "I'm gonna marry you one day (y/n)." He whispered.

I giggled and pecked his lips again. "I can't wait."

"I've got the box." My dad announced while walking in, he frowned upon seeing Shawn's arms around me. "I was only gone for like five minutes." He said with a small laugh.

I narrowed my eyes at him, silently telling him to get out of the room again. He sighed but again, complied. "I think I saw one more box actually." He said before walking out quickly.

I turned back to Shawn who was already laughing. "See, he doesn't like me." He said.

I laughed. "If he didn't like you, he would've tore you away from me." I told him before kissing him softly.

"Well I'm glad he didn't, and now that we're alone." He quickly wrapped his arms underneath my bottom and pulled me over him while he laid back on the mattress so that I was laying on top of him.

I erupted in giggles as he kissed over my face.

"I love you (y/n), and we're gonna make this work." He whispered.
