"Animal Instinct" (Louis & Legosi x Male!Reader)

Chapter 4: Canine Bonds

A few days passed between your moving into 701, and today. It'd been about a week, actually.

You'd been warming up to your new roommates, Jack making you feel as welcome as he could. Legosi definitely seemed to be warming up to you, actually talking to you by the end of the week. The other canines of Room 701 were all getting to know you. 

Collot had been helping you out with a subject you were struggling with. Legosi was just.. Legosi. How was Legosi being Legosi? Well, he was quiet. Despite being tall, and having a wolf's physique, he purposely made himself look weak, as if trying to appear smaller.

However, Legosi seemed to be odd in a new way that you didn't quite know how to describe.. When he did talk, instead of the quiet, kind of drifting tone he usually spoke in, he stuttered, especially when talking to you.. Well.. only when talking to you.

He seemed to ask you a lot about how you were doing, and how you felt.. You were always one of the quietest, and were now the most quiet of Room 701. Maybe he was just making sure you were alright? Maybe..

Thanks to Legosi, you'd taken up a role in the Drama Club. You were trying to be more social, so.. why not? You started getting closer to some of the others thanks to your own diligence, but there was one that you could never quite talk to. 

Louis..

Louis was a year ahead of you, from what you'd heard. He was one of the most popular guys at Cherryton, if not the most popular.. 

Despite your odd feelings towards him, you knew that you'd probably never even get close to him. You admitted that fact to yourself, and just hoped that your new friendship with Legosi would fill that empty feeling you felt at popularity gap..

You were only a few days in, and were mainly focused on assisting Legosi with lighting, but also helped with props and such.. Props were more of the herbivore thing, but, hey. They didn't mind the help..

One day, after everything you'd needed to do for Drama Club was finished, you returned to Room 701, only to find yourself alone..  Well, almost alone. 

Legosi was there as well, having arrived just before you.

He turned, spotting you. He gave you a weak little smile, before turning back to what he was doing. You adjusted the sleeves of your shirt..

You could see Legosi's nostrils flare..

The truth was that you weren't just a loner. You were, well.. You were one trip to Fuji away from the Suicide Forest. 

Yeah.. Due to the bullying in your youth, and the constant negative stigma toward carnivores, and hybrids too.. well.. 

Lets just say you 'slipped' with a knife, and left some cuts in your forearms..

By the time you snapped out of your reflective state, Legosi was standing before you, able to spot the various scars on your arms..

The height difference made it feel like it towered above you..

You were ready to be screamed at for your issues, but..

Legosi suddenly wrapped his arms around you.. 

"No more of this.." said Legosi, grabbing your wrist. "No more hurting yourself.."
