"Animal Instinct" (Louis & Legosi x Male!Reader)

Chapter 3: Legosi

You awoke rather abruptly to.. noise. People talking.. moving around.. 

You heard a lot of voices you didn't recognize.. 

"Hey, Jack? Who's stuff is this?" asked one of the voices. 

"Oh, thats [Y/N]'s. He was transferred to this dorm. I'm pretty sure he's still asleep." answered Jack. 

Another voice spoke up. It sounded a bit shy, but it was male. "[Y/N]? I share a class with him.. Where is he..?" 

You weren't sure what happened next, hoping to avoid having to meet so many new people in such a short period.. until you turned your head and saw a wolf staring right at you.

You jumped in surprise!

The curtain flew open, the wolf stumbling back! Jack was heard laughing hysterically. "Looks like you woke him up, Legosi!" exclaimed Jack, laughing pretty hard. You could see the wolf getting back to his feet.. You awkward stumbled up to your feet, bowing politely. 

"I-I'm so sorry for scaring you like that!" you stuttered out. You remained in a bowing state. "P-Pl-Please forgive me!" 

Legosi blinked a tad, Jack's laughter stopping after a moment. "Hey, hey.. [Y/N]. Chill out. We're all friends here.." 

You stood straight, sweating nervously. Legosi looked at you, silent..

"S-sorry.. Just a bit jumpy." you stated, trying to apologize.. for your apology. Jack shrugged. 

"Well.." began Jack. "Let me introduce you to everybody. You've met Legosi." He gestured to the others. "This is Miguno.." said Jack, indicating a spotted hyena. "And, this is Collot." He pointed to an English Sheep Dog as he said 'Collot'. Jack then pointed to a coyote. "Thats Durham.. and.." He pointed to a small fox. A Fennec. "Thats Voss." 

You looked to them all one by one. Jack, Legosi, Miguno, Collot, Durham, and Voss.. They all seemed to greet you at once with the standard 'hey', 'hi', or 'hello', which was alright. Standard greetings.. You did your best to smile and be social, though it was obvious they weren't that sure about you.

Legosi looked to you, silent. He was taller than you by a bit. Not a lot, but you were noticeably shorter. After a moment, he extended his arm toward you, as if offering a hand shake. You took his hand, and tried to be gentle and not hurt him. 

Then, he put pressure on your own hand. It was so much so that you could hear your knuckles pop. Legosi did too, immediately loosening his grip a tad, and shaking your hand gently.. You could see what looked like sweat rolling down his forehead. 

"Pleasure to meet you.. well.. officially." said Legosi, giving a weak little smile.

"Its.. a pleasure to meet you as well.. officially." you managed to respond, trying not to be too awkward after the shaky first impression. 

The others seemed to relax a bit, as if you being on good terms with Legosi had put them at ease. 

You still felt awful for that horrible first impression, however.. Maybe they'd forgive you in time, and everything would be alright..
