Peyton's P.O.V

After hearing Fury's voice message warning me that SHIELD had been compromised, my friends, brother, and I stopped whatever we were doing and rushed to find our go-packs. Since LA was prone to earthquakes, we put together an emergency bag. If Vince, our friends, and I had to lay low for a while, we put together a few individual backpacks of supplies and necessities.

Whatever went on back east, it was sure to affect every agent stationed around the world. And some double agent was targeting us and already knew where we lived. We had to get to the safehouse fast!

I found my go-pack and slid my laptop and its power cord into it, along with whatever last-minute things seemed necessary. I bumped into Vince, who had unplugged the Xbox from the TV and packed it, along with its plug-ins, game controllers, and hard-copy games, into a small duffle bag.

"If we're not coming back, the Xbox is coming with us," Vince stated.

"Says the dude who shot at an alien horde like it was GTA," I nodded and rushed to see if the others needed help.

"I was going for Halo!"

Sean was assisting Melanie with packing a backpack with items she could carry. He was trying to calm her down, though she seemed to hold it together.

"This kinda reminds me of when my folks and I had to evacuate because of a wildfire that got dangerously close to town," Melanie remarked as she stuffed her laptop into her bag.

"Unless this wildfire is armed and ready to kill us soon," I jumped in.

"Who would wanna kill us?" Sean asked.

"I don't wanna think about it."

If Casey were still around, she'd help distract us from the feeling. On learning of her mysterious disappearance from the safe house, we all figured we'd head up there, not just to lay low, but to try and investigate what had happened to her.

Once we were all packed and set to go, Vince hotwired a Sedan of a suspicious agent who was distracted with his phone once we saw that we were being watched. We all got into the car, and my twin took the wheel.

"So where will we be going?" Melanie asked.

I checked the car to ensure it wasn't bugged with any listening device and had Vince turn on some music. A Paramore song blared through the stereo, knowing that music, mainly emo rock and metal genres, helped block anyone trying to hear us. Casey had been the one to discover that when she helped Clint and Nat during an espionage when enemy agents attempted to listen in on them. She annoyed the renegades by playing a lot of Linkin Park on the speakers at a high volume, which made the mission successful.

"Montana," I replied to Melanie, "Casey has a safehouse there, which was left by her parents in case anything like this were to happen."

"And it's a rural state, making it perfect for hiding. The only thing to worry about is the bears," Vince remarked as he focused on driving, "So, we'll need a lot of bear spray when we get there."

"A couple of my cousins went to Glacier National Park and hiked there," Melanie remarked. They took many pictures and posted them on Facebook and Instagram. It's such a pretty place."

"It sure is," Sean nodded, agreeing with her.

"You guys have been there?"

"No. I saw it on YouTube. Casey hiked there with her folks years ago."

"Maybe when things mellow down, we could do a day trip there," Nicole suggested.

"Sure thing," Melanie nodded.
