alex and james were so close, noses almost touching. alex could feel james' hot sticky breath tickling his neck, and he giggled childishly. he hadn't seen james in so long and he had missed him.

'what's so funny, love?' james hummed, amused by alex. at this alex laughed more, eyes shutting, the delicate sound filling the room.  'i don't know, it's just funny,'

alex traced james' face with his eyes, soaking in every feature, painting in his memory. fluffy brown hair, equally brown eyes, soft skin. alex wanted to bathe in james, get lost in him forever, willingly submit himself. his swallowed heavily, choking on how much he wanted james. 'you're so pretty james,' he said, it just slippping out. james' lips quirked up to one side, a trait alex was familiar with. 'you're prettier angel believe me,'

alex wish he had a camera and he could take photos of everything, record every movement, sound that filled the dimly lit mess he called a bedroom.

'can i kiss you jamesie?' he whispered, the question tumbling from his lips. he seemed to do this more often than not.

james gave a soft smile. 'you know you can't al,'

alex knew he'd say this, the routine familiar, but everytime he'd ask just incase the answer changed. he sighed. 'i miss you so much,' he croaked. 'i miss you too, love,' james smile barely hid the crack in his joy, the underlying sadness.

alex could almost finish the next sentence.

'another time i promise,'

james slowly faded, his image becoming blurry as he slipped away. alex flung his arms around him, trying to keep him there, but like every time, there was no stopping his departure.  'visit me soon, james, please promise you'll back soon,'

james laughed at alex's desperation, almost at his pain. 'you know i'll come back eventually al,'

alex's lip trembled, a choked sob coming from his lips. 'james, please stay with me this time, please,' he broke down, curling up into defeated.

Rivers filled his mind, he sobbed and sobbed, the hurt taking over. the black ribbon around his throat tightened and tightened, drowning out his cries of help.

'james, come back,'
