Jean and I, we've been in Verona for a full six weeks then we flew back to Istanbul and Jean got ready for filming. We even got remarried on Istanbul soil in court and we got our marriage certificate the same day. Things in Europe work so much better than back in South Africa.

Okay maybe it is just wrong if me to compare every place I go to-to South Africa all the time but if you went your whole life struggling to stand in meter long queues for hours on end only to get to the front to be sent to another queue for hours on end and once you get things going it will take weeks for paperwork to go through. Here everything is so sufficient and working as it should. So it is hard not to appreciate it when things go fast and in so swiftly and in such an organized manner.

We lived in Istanbul for another month and on the twenty-seventh of August I flew back to London and Jean and I shed a good number of tears ate the airport. We hugged and kissed since we aren't going to see each other for a while. My flight got called and we part ways at the gate. I kissed Jean one last time goodbye and walked off to board my flight back to London. I sat down in my seat the air hostess showed me to and I was still drying my tears as the plane took off. I got busy working on my laptop. Yes, I got through all my reading material twice on our summer holiday.

While on the in-flight wifi my parents Skyped me and with my earphones in my ears we talked a while. I really do miss them so much. They wanted to know where they could stay for our wedding. I told them as long as they can just get their plane tickets I will sort out their accommodation for them. They thought it was a great deal and went for it. After all, our home has six bedrooms. I finally end our call and thought back to the week before Jean and I left for Istanbul.

The week before Jean and I left Verona we hired a man (Mr. Geovetti) that knows how to manage a vineyard and how to care for the grapes to make the best high-quality wine. We did, however, add to the current building plans of the property. We are building a rather large warehouse-type structure where we can process the grapes and start the fermentation processes for the wine we're making. Well, that was a while back. Hour two into my flight Jean called via Skype to let me know he misses me already.

We talked about who else replied to our wedding invites and I ticked them all who said they'll come and who can't make it. After or almost an hour-long call we ended it. We are almost in London and we enter a thunderstorm and I packed away my laptop and waited to land. We land in rainy London, I went through customs and airport security once I got my hiking backpack. I can't really begin to describe just how much I miss my husband already.

I took the tube in the direction of my flat. I got home and as I walk in at my flat it started raining again. It just stopped for me long enough to get to my flat from the subway six block away. I Skyped Jean to let him know I got home okay and to walk him through my two-bedroom flat. After we ended our Skype call did I start working again and later gone to the grocery store at the corner of my street to buy fresh things for myself. My dad called to find out if I got home to London okay. He was just happy I am safe and sound back in London. It was a short call. When I got back to my flat I got right back to work for my virtual client's around London and the rest of the world. I worked way into the night. Once I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer did I go to bed.

By eight AM, I was up and ready for the day. I got to the faculty admin office and got myself enrolled for my second year since I got a ninety-eight percent for my finals last year. I got all my handbooks for my second year at the school bookshop and then head home. By dinner time I cooked myself some pasta with meatballs.  I ate while I worked. I called Jean via WhatsApp and we said goodnight and good luck with his first day of filming tomorrow. He has to be on set by four-thirty AM tomorrow morning so I will still be in bed when he goes off to work.
