I am full term in my pregnancy and we took the two-hour train to Paris. Of course Jean is with me. He flew in after they wrapped on his new film project in Istanbul. We called a taxi and head over to the airport to pick up my family. We all shared a taxi as I gave the driver the address. He drove us straight there and we got all our stuff from the trunk of the car and head on up. We took the elevator and step out on the top floor. Jean unlock the front door and we all head inside. I open the massive curtains to a lovely view of a snow-covered Paris. I took my mother's hand and came to show her where we are. I open the balcony doors and showed her.
'Oh, my goodness. You kids weren't kidding when you said you got the bargain of a lifetime.' Mom said when mom got dad and my brother to come and see.
'We did however only bought brand new mattresses for each room and we repainted to more lighter color tones.' Jean spoke and got me to sit down. Our little one is really kicking me. I took Jean's hand and place it where our baby was kicking me. His whole face lights up like a Christmas tree. He got back up where he was kneeling next to me. He got our bags in our room, I sat talking with my mother and let her feel our little one kick me. Dad and Jason followed Jean to their rooms with all their luggage.
Later I got up and gone to the bathroom first then after I washed up, walked to the kitchen to see what we'll be needing food-wise. I got in the kitchen and here's a brand new double door fridge.
'Angel?' I called Jean.
'Yes, love.'
'What happened to the old fridge?'
'I got here and it was just water everywhere and got a fridge repair guy out here and he said it is too old to repair because they don't even make the parts for that one anymore so I bought us a new one.'
'Thank you. Come we need a few things from the store.' I said walking over to him.
'Okay. You are all welcome to join us in your first Paris shopping spree.' Jean spoke up inviting my family along. He held my coat for me so I can get into it.
'That will be cool. We'll tag along.' We all got our place locked up and took another taxi to shop for groceries at a store in town. We were dropped off at the supermarket and I paid the driver and we all head inside. Jean and I got busy buying groceries. I did give my family five hundred euros in cash to spend on anything for themselves. After Jean and I bought and paid for our stuff we'll need we met up with my family again. We took another taxi back to our apartment. We all carried in a great amount of bags when we reached the top floor. I unlock the apartment and we stored all the food away. We got lovely freshly baked French bread with amazing filling to make sandwiches with some coffee or hot chocolate.
I was sat down as my family with Jean got busy in the kitchen. I lay down on the one couch covered with two fluffy warm blankets and fell asleep. I had a long tough day. A few hours ago I was still in an exam hall writing three tests and then a two-hour train ride. It can tire a pregnant woman out.
'Good she's resting. She needs it before the baby comes.' Mom whispered.
'Yes, she sure does need more sleep. She's been studying so hard these past few weeks for her midterms.' Jean came over to cover my back better and kissed the side of my head.
Hours later I woke up and it is evening and Jean and my family were sitting and talking around me. I just lay with my eyes closed as I listen to them talk. I have to get to the bathroom so I sat up. Jean helped me up and I kissed his hand as I walk off to the bathroom.
After I was done in the bathroom I climb in a nice warm shower. Afterward, I got dressed in sweat pants and a nice warm sweater with my new favorite slippers. I saw them in "Harrod's" and they feel more like pieces of clouds on my feet. I walked to the kitchen and found my saved food from earlier. I sat eating my sandwich with a glass of fruit juice.
