The One With The Flashback Part 2

The others follow Bakura as he leads the way to Jonouchi. Seto wanted to pass them and go on his own but he knows that will do him no good.

Bakura leads them to the woods.

'Please tell me Mokuba is not in Harpie territory...'

Tension rises in the group as they find themselves going deeper and deeper.

Seto can't take it anymore and bursts through.

Yugi, startled by the burst, is the first to try to keep up, "K-Kaiba! Wait!"

Seto kept running, he's too determined to find his little brother. When he reaches them, he stops completely. Staring at the sight before himself.

Mokuba curled up at a trunk of a large tree. Jonouchi standing in front of Mokuba. Barely standing. Breathing labored. Blood, sweat, and dirt from head to toe.

The four had the two cornered, no escape and no one was sure how long Jonouchi will last.

Seto's blue eyes could turn red with the rage that could easily make his blood rapidly boil.

Seto's eyes began to glow as his fangs and claws begin to extend.

The tension in the air, and the growl that bellowed, made the four turn to see the angered Alpha.

"You'll regret, down to the very bottom of your soul, thinking it was ever okay to mess with my brother."

When the other three got there, they saw Azrael and his gang beaten and bloody.

Jonouchi now sitting down, leaning against the same tree trunk Mokuba was curled against. The Kaiba brothers trying to tend to Jonouchi's wounds. Seto is somewhat covered in blood, none of it his. The three help Jonouchi and the Kaiba brothers, heading for the hospital.

Jonouchi lays in a bed, in a hospital room, after his injuries have been treated for. The door opens. Jonouchi slowly turns his head to see its Seto Kaiba. He's been cleaned up and redressed.

"Hey..."

"Hi..."

Seto walks over to the side of the bed, "I wanted to thank you... for helping Mokuba."

"Heh... no problem. Seems like a great kid."

"Can... can I ask why?"

"Why?"

"We aren't exactly the best of friends and yet you fought tooth and nail to keep him safe."

"I'm an older brother too... my sister Shizuka goes to the academy too."

Seto softly smiles as he sits on the side of the bed, "I suppose you're not quite a... mutt."

Jonouchi chuckles before a slight groan of pain.

Bakura and Yugi went to check on Jonouchi, to see he already had company. Bakura stops Yugi from entering.

"Let's leave them be."

"You think they'll be okay?"

"They will be more than okay."

"Hmm?"

"You'll see Yugi."

Yugi tilts his head as Bakura smiles.

Bakura then heads to the cafeteria where Marik is. Yugi follows with him.

"You don't think..."

"Call it a hunch. I mean, to go from not knowing a thing about each other to now they are spilling to each other."

"Maybe... maybe you're right."
