Yugi leads the other two to the living room. They decide to play a board game to pass the time as they wait for a response from the others.
Atem shakes the two dice before moving his piece.
"Ha! You landed on my property!"
"Again? You practically have all my cash Yugi."
"Told you not to play this game, but noooo, the Alpha knows everything."
"Hey!"
"I've played this enough times with Yugi to KNOW not to play with Yugi."
Yugi giggles as he takes the play money that is handed to him.
Atem made a glare at the other Omega, that only lasted for a second.
Bakura couldn't help but roll his eyes before he grabs the dice. He shakes them then suddenly stops. He turns his head to the left. The other two took notice of the black hole with the dark red swirls around its edges. A paper airplane then flies out of it before the portal vanishes. Bakura grabs the plane, unfolding it quickly to see what his beloved has written.
Just then Yugi's mother comes in, "How are you boys doing?"
"Good," her son answers, "We just received a reply from the others."
"Oh good," she replies, immediately noticing how close Yugi is sitting next to Atem.
"Sweetheart, can you come to the kitchen for a moment?"
"Sure Mom," Yugi answers as he stands up, walking over.
When the two enter the kitchen, she crosses her arms across her chest.
"Yugi, you're getting awfully close to your new friend. I can't help but be concerned."
"Oh mom-"
"Now don't whine at me."
"But mom-"
"I mean I know you are at the age-"
"Mother!"
She stood speechless at the outburst.
Yugi takes a breath before looking up at his mother.
"Mom... Atem is my Alpha."
She is staring at her son, noticing the twinkle in Yugi's eyes when he spoke.
"He is?"
Yugi nods.
She takes a deep breath.
"I know I should have said something earlier. Sorry mom."
"Considering the situation, no sorry is necessary."
Yugi smiles, immediately hugging his mother who of course returns the hug.
"Of course I am your mother. If he screws up, I'm going to take his head."
"...Yes mother."
Yugi returns to the others, "What did we find out?"
"They made it to the academy," Bakura answers as Yugi sits down."That's good."
"But everyone is trapped in the basement."
"That's bad."
"They're unsure of the situation, therefore they're having difficulties getting the children to the shelter. Due to that, they're running low on supplies. Especially blood."
"Why did they all go to the basement?" Atem asks.
"The basement is like a panic room," Yugi answers,
"It's used for emergencies such as this."
Bakura looks over at the Alpha, "They must of had to go down there because there was no possible way to get to the shelter."
"The shelter?"
"This territory has a shelter. Like a safe haven for citizens to reside in. Like Grandpa's magic, outsiders cannot enter inside. However the students of the academy must leave the building and go one block over before they reach the underground passage. That's why the basement is made into a panic room."
"However the downside to the panic room is that they can't see what's on the other side of the door as well as it doesn't hold as many supplies."
"So how do we help?"
"That's the dilemma, in order to get the supplies, or possibly any other help, we'll likely have to go back out there."
"We barely managed to safely get here to begin with."
"But we can't just sit here," Yugi retorts, "All those children may not survive before the Guard comes to aide. Who knows how long this attack will last..."
Yugi looks over when he sees his grandfather enter the room.
"Something on your mind boys?"
"The academy is in trouble Grandpa. They're in the panic room but they're short on supplies."
"The Guard is over at the territory line right now. We'll have to try to help, what do they need?"
"Blood for the most part."
"Give me a little time and I'll see what I can do."
"Thank Grandpa."
Solomon smiles and nods before slowly leaving the room.
"So what do we do now?" Atem asks.
"Good question," Yugi says before grabbing the remote and turns on the television.
The local news station broadcasting the attack.
"Those wolves are everywhere," Bakura murmurs.
"Except look," Atem says, pointing at the screen.
"It's the academy," Yugi states, "What about it?"
"Look around," Atem explains, "There are very few wolves around it."
"You're right."
"Perhaps we can use that to get out of there, or at least get them supplies."
"But why is there so few around the academy?"
"It could be because of Jonouchi and his luck," Bakura answers.
"Maybe, however the safe room helps block their scent. They might not think anyone is in the academy."
"Either way, we should use this advantage to help them."
Atem looks over at Bakura, "We should let them know what's going on."
