Attack on Domino City

Yugi clings to Atem's side, worried for Seto. Atem keeps an arm around Yugi's shoulders. Seto looks at the ground, measuring his distance between him and his opponent.

Yugi looks over at Jonouchi, whispering, "Seto seems sure of himself."

"He's gotten stronger from his training but I'm still scared," Jonouchi replies in a whisper.

"I don't think Seto would of approached him unless he had a plan," Atem whispers.

The man holds out his hand, sending sparks at Seto. The Alpha times it to swing his hand, tossing those sparks to a nearby street lamp. The group ducks as the light bulb of the lamp bursts like a festival firework.

"I find it insulting that you hold back," Seto says with a smirk.

The male shakes his head, "You don't know what you're talking about kid."

"Come at me and see if I'm just a kid."

The moment the strange man darts towards Seto, Jonouchi's heart pounds even more. Atem pulls out his deck of cards. He goes through them, searching for a way to aide Seto. He feels a hand on his wrist.

"Yugi?"

"I want to help Kaiba too but I have this feeling. He can handle this."

"It'll drive me crazy if I can't help."

Yugi continues to stare into Atem's eyes.

Atem sighs, like he should of known the Omega would pull that, "Alright Yugi, I'll let Kaiba handle this."

Yugi smiles before letting out a slight yelp when there's another burst. Atem covers Yugi's head with his arms. He looks over to see the two squaring off. Seto grabs the man's fists.

The man smiles wide and wickedly, "Let's see how well you handle this!"

The group gasps when yellow colored lightning bolts surround Kaiba.

Jonouchi's chocolate brown eyes wide, "Seto!"

The electricity continues to surround the Alpha. The ground under the two began to crack and split like it was made from paper. Adrenaline pumps through Jonouchi's veins as he watches the two standing there. He then notices the expression on the man's face change.

"What... what is happening?" Jonouchi asks himself.

Atem is the first to realize it, "Kaiba... Kaiba is absorbing it."

Atem then smirks, "That's why Kaiba was willing to challenge him, this is the ace up his sleeve."

Then, like a sonic boom, the man in pushed back. He bangs his head against the wall of the steel and concrete bridge before falling to the ground, unconscious.

Seto looks to the whole crowd, "Let's get out of here!"

Countless people made their way out of the pier, running for their protection. Marik and Bakura look at each other, and without saying a word, they had a plan in mind as they give the other a reassuring nod.

As the group splits, Marik runs with Jonouchi and Seto as they head to the academy. Bakura goes with Yugi and Atem, heading to the Mutou Game Shop.

As the second group runs, Yugi leading the way, they find the main street intersection closed off due to the invasion.

"I know another way," Yugi informs, "We shouldn't run into too much trouble."

Bakura and Atem follow Yugi as they go into an alleyway. They keep running regardless of the horrific noises that echo throughout the city.
