Dodgeball

Dodgeball? But I HATE Dodgeball.

The gym coach wanted the students to practice their reflexes, because vampires need good reflexes, and what better than dodgeball. Yugi had none of his friends so he knows he'll get picked last.

"The captions will be Yosuke and... how about the new kid, Atem.

Yugi looks up, he almost forgot Atem is in this class too. Yosuke picked first, then Atem.

"I pick... how about you Yugi?"

What? Me? On the first pick?

Yugi tries to not be so excited as he walks over to Atem's side.

"Pfff Yugi Moto? Seriously?

Atem glares at the boy who made the comment, "And why not?"

"Look at him! He's so tiny!"

A few students couldn't contain their laughter, which made Yugi lower his head in shame.

"So what?"

Yugi looks up at Atem.

"So what if he's smaller? Maybe it's you who is smaller," Atem retorts before flashing his pinky finger.

"Why you-"

"That's enough! Settle it on the court!"

After teams are picked, they each went on their side of the court.

"Hey... Atem?"

"Hmm?"

"Did you really mean that?"

"About that douchebag having a pinky dick?"
Yugi giggles, "No, I mean you picked me regardless on me being smaller than most."

Atem shrugs his shoulders, "You're nice to me so I believe I should return the kindness back."

Yugi couldn't help but blush, "Thanks Atem."

As the game begins, Yugi does his best to dodge. Using his shortness to this advantage, he's able to easily duck most of the thrown balls. Atem could catch and throw back. Eventually it was just Yugi and Atem. There were three people on the other side including Carmine, the boy whose been picking on Yugi.

Yugi made a distraction before Atem was able to knock one out. However the other two already decided to wipe out Yugi. They threw their balls at him. Yugi knew he couldn't dodge them both as he sees them hurling towards him.

Before Yugi knew it, Atem was able to grab Yugi by the waist and spinning him out of range. He was also able to palm of the balls, tossing it back.Now there was only one. Yugi couldn't of helped but be in awe. It was rather impressive to see such speed, especially for a young vampire.

"T-Thank you Atem."

Atem smiles at Yugi. Carmine grabs a ball, tossing it.It made the two boys dodge, each going to other sides of their side of the court. Carmine quickly grabs two balls, chucking them fast at Yugi. Yugi dodges the first one but caught the second one... with his face.

"Gotcha you little punk! What happened to your savior?"

There's a slight glow in Atem's crimson eyes. He took the chance and repaid Carmine. There was a slight crack sound when the ball came in contact with Carmine's nose.

His hands immediately covering it, "You bastard!"

Atem couldn't help but smirk then remembered.He rushes over to Yugi, who was trying to sit up.

"Hey Yugi, are you alright?"

"I... feel a little...dizzy..."

Atem helps Yugi up to help him to the nurse's office.
