Mewtwo was not supposed to be there...well, Silver hadn't expected Mewtwo to be there. The simple fact that he was possed a major problem to him and now (y/n) too. It was nice to know that her power had some degree of control over the harmful pokémon but Mewtwo as too powerful for her to completely control. "Silver, you got any ideas?" (Y/n) asked as they ran through the darkness of Mt. Moon. They could see but it was still relatively dark in the area making their navigation and progress a bit slower than they'd have liked it to be.
"No. I'm sorry. I didn't expect Mewtwo to be here," Silver said. The sound of what seemed to be an explosion was heard behind them and the mountain shook nearly throwing them off balance. Silver caught hold of (y/n)'s arm to make sure neither of them fell. "That can't be good," she muttered before picking up Silver's Totodile. "We've got to run faster. I think Mewtwo is prioritizing us right now," she explained. Silver nodded in agreement and didn't hesitate to follow after (y/n) who was doing her best to lead them through path she'd never been on while keeping away wild pokémon.
Silver was truly amazed by her ability no matter how many times she used it. An explosion broke him from his thoughts and nearly caused both him and (y/n) to fall. (Y/n) looked behind them, her eyes widening in surprise as she did, but she didn't notice the rocks falling down from the dark void above them. Acting quickly, Silver pulled her to him and did his best to protect her and his Totodile from any harm. A few rocks hit him but they didn't hurt him very much. "Silver!" (y/n) said in alarm.
He was pulled away from her by a force he was unfortunately quite familiar with. Panic entered his mind as he was drawn right to Mewtwo who wasn't very far from them at the time. Reshiram was stuck outside Mt. Moon for the time being and couldn't come to their aide. Silver let out a cry of pain as he was slammed against a rock wall of the mountain path. Mewtwo appeared in front of him keeping him in place with his psychic power. "It was foolish to think you could run from me. You're just as much of a nuisance as you were back then," Mewtwo telepathically spoke.
The pokémon was suddenly then hit by a beam of water that had come from Totodile who angrily stood in front of (y/n) who now had Tabunne released and Murkrow on her shoulder. Mewtwo looked at them out of the corner of his eyes clearly annoyed. "Let Silver go right now!" (y/n) demanded. Almost immediately, Silver was released from Mewtwo's psychic hold and he didn't hesitate to run back to (y/n). Mewtwo eyed her with murderous intent and that didn't settle well with Silver.
"You aren't going to hurt her. You have a problem with me so leave (y/n) out of it," Silver said as he stepped in front of (y/n). Mewtwo seemed to shortly laugh before speaking again. "I take pity on the girl but you will get everything you deserve for what you did," Mewtwo mused. (Y/n) didn't give the pokémon time to act. "Leave this mountain this instant!" she said to Mewtwo who looked at her as though she were kidding. Soon though, Mewtwo was moving against his will amd headed back to the mountain entrance.
"You dare try to control me? Who do you think you are, human?" Mewtwo roared as he unwillingly left. "We can't stay here for long. We need to find somewhere else to go and escape this mountain another way," Silver noted. "I don't know where to go. I've never been here before," (y/n) said although she began to start walking. She picked Totodile back up and Murkrow flew to Silver's shoulder. "I'll lead the way. I may not know how to get through this place either but I can at least take some of the responsibility. You've been using your power to keep wild pokémon away from us, haven't you," Silver said as he got ahead of her.
(Y/n) simply nodded. "Thank you, Silver," she said with a smile of gratitude. They began run with Silver doing his best to guide them. He didn't want Mewtwo to catch them not only because he wanted to harm them but also because he knew things about Silver in the past that Silver himself never wanted (y/n) to find out about. They heard the sound of the mountain being attacked again and in the distance Reshiram's cry could be heard. Perhaps Mewtwo was being kept busy by Unova's legendary pokémon. Whatever the case, Silver didn't stop to find out.
Much to his dismay, the sounds of demolition could be heard getting closer to them even as they ran. "(Y/n), let Tabunne go back into her pokéball. It'll be easier for us to hide. We can't outrun Mewtwo at this rate," Silver said as he returned both his Totodile and his Murkrow to their pokéballs. (Y/n) nodded and did as Silver suggested. As soon as she did, Silver took her hand to make sure he didn't lose her as he searched for a hiding spot. "You cannot escape, Silver. You will pay for your actions! You and all of Team Rocket!" Mewtwo's telepathic voice bellowed.
It seemed to echo from every direction but the voice was merely being projected into their minds. Silver was startled when (y/n) suddenly pulled him back just as Mewtwo teleported in front of them. However far of a range that ability had was of no concern to Silver at that moment. He was about to release Murkrow knowing that Mewtwo would be at a type advantage but he felt (y/n)'s hand slip out of his and panicked. Mewtwo had surrounded her in psychic energy keeping her still amd unmoving.
"Let her go!" Silver demanded although he had no such power to force Mewtwo into doing so. (Y/n) said something herself but her voice was barely audible. Soon after she spoke, a swarm of Zubat and Golbat pummeled Mewtwo with numbers allowing (y/n) to be released. They completely avoided Silver much to his relief. The common cave pokémon were quite annoying and tended to bite. Mewtwo seemed to be having trouble with the swarm allowing Silver to help (y/n) stand back up but in just moments, Mewtwo had disbursed the swarm amd scared them off with a roar of anger and a small burst of psychic energy.
"That girl is a pest," Mewtwo growled, glaring at (y/n). Before she could issue another command, Mewtwo had trapoed her again but Silver wasn't going to allow her to be harmed because of him. Mewtwo would likely leave her alone if she was no longer apart of the problem. "Leave her alone! You came here to face me! Leave (y/n) out of it!" Silver said. Mewtwo seemed shocked at the mentioning of her name. "The Unova boy's sibling. He did not lie when he said she'd try to stop me. Then her power must be true as well which explains everything," Mewtwo mused seemingly thinking aloud.
Silver had taken that time to release Murkrow but Mewtwo immediately knocked Murkrow down before an attack could be attempted. Shocked, Silver froze in fear not knowing if Totodile of Sneazel could handle Mewtwo even in the slightest. "I said face me instead! Can't you understand something as simply as that or were your mental enhancements not enough?" Silver said taking the risk of bringing up something from Mewtwo's past. The pokémon glared at him, eyes aglow with rage.
Before he knew it, Silver had been thrown against a wall and then slammed into the opposite one without hesitation. "Stop it!" (Y/n) yelped making Mewtwo stop his actions. She ran to Silver's side as he fell to the ground in pain. "Leave Silver alone you arrogant narcissist! Can't you move on like Silver has? Not everything is about you amd your revenge! People and pokémon have lives to live! Let him continuously become better as you should be doing!" (y/n) snapped at Mewtwo.
She did her best to sheild Silver from any further harm. He wanted to warn her that angering Mewtwo only made things worse and increased his psychic power but a flash of light interrupted whatever Mewtwo was about to do. The light left Silver temporary blinded and curious as to where it came from amy why it had attacked Mewtwo. "Who dares to attack me?" Mewtwo inquired. There was no reply but the newcomer confidently walked towards Mewtwo without an ounce of fear. It also seemed that Mewtwo recognized this trainer and the Pikachu that sat on their shoulder.
Silver briefly caught the gaze of the trainer who seemed quite unreadable. The trainer glared at Mewtwo and the pokémon disappeared, teleporting out of sight confusing both Silver and (y/n). Whoever this trainer was, they had saved Silver and (y/n) but there was still a problem. Who was he and would he turn them in after recognizing them from the lost person posters that Green and the authorities had no doubt placed all over Kanto?
