It seems I've gotten the hang of these more frequent updates now. Hopefully I can keep this up...

The closer to their destination they got, he colder it was. It wasn't too much of a problem since Silver's mind was on other things. He'd suffered as a child and Green had been there to get him through it. She was his sister and now she hated him for some reason. He didn't understand why Green had suddenly started to hate him but he knew for sure that she wasn't under Mewtwo's control. He hadn't gotten any confirmation yet but he felt it amd he believed it so much that it was already effecting him for the worse.

"You're still thinking about it aren't you," (y/n) said, interrupting his thoughts. She leaned against him still doing her best to keep his mind off of his discovery which he greatly appreciated. She also shook from the growing cold every now and then which was another reason why Silver kept her close. "I can't help it. There aren't too many positive things to think about right now," Silver muttered. He hadn't felt so hurt since his father betrayed him the first time around. Even then, the heart wound hadn't stung so badly.

"I'll use my powers on you if I have to. I really can," (y/n) said. Silver caught her gaze seeing that she was entirely kidding and simply wanted to catch his full attention. Despite that, he couldn't help but wonder if he could keep his mind off things if (y/n) actually did use her power on him. She could order him to do anything she wanted to but never did because she promised to never do so. "You know I'd never do sonething like that. I know I brought it up but please don't think like that," (y/n) said with a slight frown.

She hadn't read his mind but she understood him so well that it often seemed like she did. Spending time with her reliving memories in Johto was more than enough make his bond with her unbreakable. Silver was about to look back ahead of Reshiram but (y/n) stopped him be putting a hand to his cheek and staring into his eyes. He immediately blushed before closing his eyes and putting his forehead to hers. She could understand him better when he didn't say anything at all which worked well for Silver.

They had almost entirely forgotten that Red and Yellow were also passengers on Reshiram's flight so when they heard Yellow catch their attention, they were a bit startled and immediately gave each other a little more space. "I didn't mean to inturpt but Red is asleep and I don't trust myself to be unsupervised. We'll also need to start walking very soon. The blizzards around Mt. Silver are too harsh for us to fly in," Yellow informed.

Red was indeed fast asleep with his arms loosly wrapped around Yellow as he rested his head on one of her shoulders. She didn't seem to mind at all which must have meant that she and Red were great friends. "Does Reshiram know that?" (y/n) asked referring to their need to stop before reaching the dangerous blizzard areas. "Most likely. We've been avoiding them for a while now thanks to Reshiram's intuitive skills but there's only so far that Reshiram can take us," Yellow answered. It must not have been her first time making the trip up Mt. Silver or at least it seemed that way.

"It'll be getting dark soon though. I think we should go ahead and stop now to let Reshiram rest. We won't freeze so long as Reshiram stays closeby," Silver stated. He at least hoped Reshiram would be able to generate enough heat to keep them all warm through the upcoming night. With their plan decided, (y/n) asked Reshiram to find a good landing spot for them to camp at and they were soon back on land. There wasn't much for them to do as they rathered around Reshiram and waited for nightfall to come.

Red hadn't been to fond of having to wake up so he was already asleep again and leaning against Reshiram for warmth as the rest of them would be doing once they decided to sleep. Without much to do, Silver found himself standing near a cluster or snow frosted shrubs. The snow wasn't heavily falling where they were just yet so they were okay with their current attire. Even so, it was still a little colder than Silver would like. The cold reminded him of some of the many nights he had spent cold, alone, and on the run after he'd left Team Rocket.

Instead of (y/n) appearing to distract him from his thoughts, Yellow showed up by his side stayung silent at first. "You okay? I know Green said some things to you that weren't very nice," she spoke. Silver just nodded as he stared off into the snow focusing on nothing in particular. "Where's (y/n)?" Silver inquired. He was hoping to talk with her for a bit but it wasn't because Yellow's presence annoyed him. He just preffered to speak with someone that he could communicate with far better than any other person he'd met.

"She's asking Reshiram about her brother," she said. An odd silence entered the atmosphere between them before Yellow decided to speak again. "I...I don't know if I should tell you but Green..." Yellow started to say but Silver cut her off. "I already know. She's been faking being under Mewtwo's control hasn't she..." he said with a slight frown. He didn't understand why but it must have been true.

"You knew? Did you recently find out? Green hadn't told me until after she met me and Blue in Viridian City. Blue was already under her influence and I had no idea. He didn't seem to be acting abnormally so I never suspected him. She waa behind the whole plan and I told her it was wrong. Everything she's doing is wrong and I don't get why she's doing it," Yellow ranted. Silver looked over at her in surprise though.

He had only assumed Green had joined Mewtwo's side without protest bit for her to ne the mastermind of it all....thar was too much for Silver to handle. "I need a moment, Yellow. It isn't you, I just need to think...maybe have some alone time," Silver said. He didn't want to sound rude and thankfully Yellow seemed to understand. She left with a small nod not uttering another word of it. Once again the cold reminded him of loneliness and for some reason he welcomed it.

The feeling was familiar despite him not having to worry about such loneliness for quite some time. Back when he had been alone, he didn't have to worry about others being hurt. He never had to worry about him hurting others either. Yet somewhere along the line, he had hurt Green without knowing it. She'd made that very clear and now Silver was thinling of things that he shouldn't. "What if I were to be aline again?"

But the thought was immediately shattered when (y/n) flashed across his mind. She would go wherever he went and he'd do the same. They were inseparable now and Silver's heart would only ache more if he put himself through anything dealing with their separation. "Silver...you okay? You're crying," (y/n)'s voice quitely spoke from behind him. He immediately reached up to wipe his tears away not having realized they'd even been there. He was supposed to be strong, a person that could keep moving no matter what he faced...but he couldn't be that person anymore.

It was all too much for him to handle alone now and he needed help, wanted help. He begged for it. He allowed himself to drop to his knees right into the thin layers of snow on the ground. He stopped wiping his tears and let them flow freely without caring anymore. (Y/n) was quick to fall by his side but she seemed afraid and unsure of what to do. Her words and embraces had not been enough to comfort him and she likely wondered if they would even work now. Silver didn't want her to think about it anymore.

He didn't care if her affection didn't cure his heartbreak. All he cared was that she was there and that she tried so he took her hand and pulled her towards him until he could hug her himself. She radiated some of the heat that she'd gotten from Reshiram making it all the more calming for Silver to embrace her. "(Y/n), please don't ever let me leave. Don't let me stray down that path again. I don't want to be alone anymore. I'm not strong, not at all. I need you to be my strength. I can't do this anymore. I just want peace again," Silver whimpered.

(Y/n) pulled out of his hug which scared him for a moment with the way his mind was working at the time. He didn't realize what was actually going on until afterwards. (Y/n) had leaned forward and kissed him just briefly but it had been enough to affect him. Affection was his weakness after all. "I didn't know that's how you felt. I'm sorry. I'll be your strength and we'll emd all of this nonsense and live in peace. I promise you that," (y/n) said with a smile.

Tears lined her eyes as she spoke and Silver then realized that he wasn't the only one suffering. Silver had almost forgotten that (y/n) could sense every emotion he displayed even if he tried to hide it. His sadness effected (y/n) almost as much as it effected himself. He pulled her back into his hug and thanked her. They were perfectly compatible and it made it all the more easier for Silver's emotional wounds to heal.
