After the funeral ended, Dan invited us to a nearby bar.

"It's the one near Main Street." Dan explained.

I mounted Nottingham, "I'm well aware Daniel." I smiled, "I use to go there too." I gave a smug look.

Daniel Smiled warmly, he patted Nottingham's rump and I sprinted off.

I arrived at the bar a little after Veidt and Dr. Manhattan. I ordered drinks and sat in a booth. I stared at the rain dripping down the window.

"Hello Erin, I am glad to see you are well." I turned to see the blue man himself. Was he human or celestial no one knows.

"Doctor." I greeted.

"Laurie would be here, but she had to visit her mother." Dr. Manhattan explained.

"Or she just didn't want to see the son of a bitch." I laughed.

Dr. Manhattan didn't smile but looked confused, "If you hate the Comedian, why did you come to his funeral?"

I stared at him for a long moment, "Finally get to see the man be put in the ground." I took a long sip of my drink.

"You know why the Comedian shot your brother in Vietnam?" Dr. Manhattan seemed to ask the question I asked myself that night I confronted the Comedian.

"That's a question I asked but never got an answer to." I explained.

"It's because.." Dr. Manhattan got interrupted.

"Dr. Manhattan!" A random stranger walked to us. I got up and left.

"Erin." He called out to me.

"I'll find out sooner or later." I smiled. Walking to the bar, I asked for one more drink. Dan walked towards me.

"That's your fifth scotch." Dan pointed out.

"I'm not driving Daniel." I laughed.

"How are you holding up?" He looked generally concerned.

"Do you think what Rorschach said was true?" I asked, going straight to the point.

"Uh, sounds a bit posh honestly." He raised an eyebrow.

"Rorschach, damn, he confuses me." I groaned with frustration.

"Ha ha." Daniel looked down and laughed a bit.

"What's to laugh at?" I asked.

"Interesting how he risks getting caught by police in order to see you. When we were in our glory days, he look at you. Looks at you differently than he does us." Daniel smirked.

"I have no idea what you're talking Daniel." I rolled me eyes.

"Oh come on.." Daniel pushes me playfully.

"Daniel, this is a man or even if I should call him that, a murderer. He has strong moral beliefs about relationships. I highly doubt Rorschach would even consider..." I was cut off.

"He's human, plus it would do him some good you know? He could use someone like you." Daniel gave that dumb smug look.

"When hell freezes over, I like to see Rorschach kiss someone." I laughed.

I looked outside to see the same hobo man from the diner staring in at us. I blinked and he was gone the next moment.

"Weird." Dan frowned.

"He seems familiar." I raised an eyebrow.

"You know that one time.." Dan began.

We talked for hours on end, I never laughed that hard in my life while Veidt stood there rejected.

"You never told me how you broke in my house." I chuckled hands in my pockets. Calling over to Veidt

"Simple, your gate didn't have a lock." Veidt laughed while sophisticatedly drinking a scotch.

"What?!" I laughed hard.

"Your gate doesn't have a lock, I walked through it." Veidt laughed just as hard, "You got good aim, you're still off though I say by seven centimeters."

"You think you can do any better." I raised an eyebrow.

"A bet I would take." Veidt smirked.

"What's in it for me?" I liked my odds.

"Five-hundred, dollars." Dan perked up. He was so drunk.

"Damn, okay." Veidt looked unamused.

"My money's on Veidt." Dan perked up.

"Oh gee thanks for the support." I smirked.

We went out to the alleyway. Nottingham was tied under some shelter. I made sure to have food and water nearby. I grabbed two training bows from my satchel.

"I was hoping to donate these to you Daniel, but we might have different approach." I smirked. Grabbing dull tip arrows, I grabbed six of them and made my way back to the bar.

"I thought of darts but sure let's make this interesting." Veidt smirked.

I handed him one of the bows. The bartender smirked.

"My money's on the girl." He pointed at me, "Okay there're two dart boards but no darts." He pointed to the wall."

"Child play." Veidt boasted. He drew back an arrow and released. Each arrow went straight into the target all made perfect bullseye.

"Child play indeed." I smirked. I put all three arrows on my bow. I drew back, closed my eyes breathed out and...

"Holy shit..." Dan gasped.

I opened my eyes and smirked, all three arrows in the middle At one time.

Veidt stood there mouth slightly agape. He reach inside his jacket looking for his wallet. He pulled out five crisp hundred dollar bills, which I happily took. No offense though, I was really behind mortgage and this can hold me over for a month or two.

"I best be off." Veidt still looked defeated.

I walked Adrain to the door, "Good game." I extended my hand and he shook it.

"It only took one shot." Veidt chuckled.

I stood there emotionless, the words rang in my ears, I watched as Veidt's chauffeur drove away.

"Remember that time Rorschach punched the wrong person, and that guy what's his name..? Dan started laughing.

"Oh yeah, Kyle Marks, some look a like drug dealer leader. Ha ha ha." I burst out laughing. I turned around and went to sit by Dan.

"I took the punch back, man, that hurt like a mother fucker." Dad and I burst out laughing.

"You're so drunk." I chuckled.

"No, I'm not drunk." Dan's words began to slur.

"Come on." I called a taxi over and gave them Dan's address.

"Hey Erin, it's great to see you." Dan Smiled.

I smiled back, "Hey, I'll bring my weapons by, they need a tune up." I whispered.

"Shhh! People will know." Dan was so drunk he slurred that in a loud whisper. I tapped the hood of the cab and they drove off.

I joined back at the bar to see press interrogating the poor doctor. I grabbed my coat and items and headed out the back. Veidt already told the bartender to put everything on his tab. I mounted Nottingham and like that I headed home.
