I woke with no vision. All I could do was scream and hyperventilating.
"Erin, Erin! It's okay, your safe." I felt warm hands on both my arms pushing me down on the bed.
"Dan?" I breathed heavily. I looked frantically around for the voice.
"Erin, can you hear me?" I could feel a hand be put in my hand.
"Daniel... I... I.. can't see." I started gasping for air.
"I know.. you were.. they couldn't save your sight." Daniel didn't give much explanation.
"How did I... how I get here." I looked down and then at the sound where Daniel's voice was coming from.
"Rorschach, he was riding Nottingham and carrying you." Daniel sighed...
"She's in here officers." I heard another voice.
"Explain this." I couldn't see a thing but I could hear Daniel getting angry.
"Sir, let's talk in private." The voice said.
The voices left the room. I quickly stood up. I started walking but a sudden pinch to the arm pulled me to the ground. I felt wired and needles. I yanked hard and pulled them out. I felt the stinging of blood dripping down my arm. I moved my hands over everything and moved my body around til I found glass. I felt the cold from its smooth touch. I felt around til I felt the wood and fabric stature of a chair.
I grabbed it took a few steps back and with all my force I threw it at the window a loud crash could be heard. I could hear the loud and low distance of cars, people, and all the noises of the city. Instantly felt for the sheets of the bed. I felt around and found a pole. With the best of my ability, I tied the sheet around my waist and the pole. I didn't have time to think anything else I felt the sudden cold air hit my aching face. The sound of people rushing towards me scared me. I climbed out cutting myself on shards. I felt a ledge carefully started making my way down.
"Erin! What the hell are you!" I could hear Daniel's voice.
I started repelling down the building bit by bit, I only made it to the second floor. I felt the glass on my bare skin. I knew what I was going to do next was fucking crazy. I pushed off the glass and swung in the air then swung straight into the glass. I fell to the ground in pain, but quickly got up.
I hobbled to find the door which I found. I rushed through the hospital in my darken daze. I push people all around til I managed to find steps... with my poor judgement I started making my way down, lower and lower. I could hear all the voices calling out to look for me.
I ran into a wall and a door, I pushed it open to fell that facial cold air. That's when I took off running, I ran like a bat out of hell. That's when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me.
I panicked, "Get the hell off me!" I shouted. I tried to throw punches but the gloved figure grabbed my wrists.
"Stop." The grim voice.
"Rorschach?!" I coughed a bit.
"Go." He took my hand and we started running I was tripping and running barefoot on the ground.
We made several sharp turns until the last turn caused me to fall. Rorschach grabbed my body and helped me to my feet. He placed me on a concrete wall, I leaned back and wheezed for air.
"Rorschach, where are we?" I asked not knowing where to face.
"Two blocks from safe house." He grumbled, I could feel his hand on holding my arm. I felt short sharp pains from my arms, "You're crazy, could have gotten killed."
"That or have the cops take me to prison." I argued back
"Very risky now, no sight, more likely to be attacked." Rorschach started pulled glass out of my leg.
"I managed this far." I put my hands to my face to feel the bandage around my eyes. I felt Rorschach hold my face in his hands. He started pulling glass from my cheek.
His face must have been close cause I felt his breath centimeters away from mine. I moved my face to be facing him.
We just sat there complete silence, his breath becoming more hitched and I could sense he was nervous. The silence was interrupted by the sound of sirens.
I tried to push myself up but due to all the pain I could barely breath properly.
That's when I felt a sudden pick up bridal style, a hand under my legs and an arm and hand wrapped around my back. The feeling of a warm chest against my body gave me comfort.
"Thank you Rorschach." I murmured
"Hurm." Is all Rorschach responded with
