Tris's POV

This place is amazing. I get to hang out with my friends, walk around campus, eat food, parties every friday, and no parents involved. It's perfect, except for one thing. This is still a school.

When the bells rings, I am already in science class sitting at my desk with my head in my folded arms. I didn't think I would remember how to get to this class, but I surprisingly did it.
Yesterday the teachers and guidance councillors helped all the students find each class. We also had tours around campus to show us where everything is.

I begin to hear people come in. A few moments later I feel a tap on my shoulder. I look back to see Uriah carrying a binder and a textbook.

"Some one looks tired." He tells me as he takes a seat next to me. "A party on your first night, with out me? I would have known!"

"Party? More like Christina ranting about her problems till 4 am. And if you try falling asleep she will begin to talk louder."

"Sounds interesting. How could someone rant for that long."

"It's Christina when she is nervous everything becomes a problem."

"Why is she so nervous?" Uriah asked curiously.

"Date with Will tomorrow."

"I see, I have a date Marlene tomorrow as well."

"Yeah I know, where are you taking her?"

"Don't know, probably some where cheap, maybe like the chicken place. " He said ending with a smile.

"Wow, your dating skills are astonishing." Note the sarcasam.

"Then where do you suggest?"

"Take her somewhere nice. Maybe bowling, something fun." I suggest. "Speaking of Marlene, where is that girl?"

"Playing hooky." Uriah says "She told me she'd only do it for first period. She'll pretend she slept in."

*Playing hooky; skipping school or work, with no real excuse.*
"How do you play hooky at a boarding school?"

"I don't know. Ask her." Uriah says.

My teacher finally starts the class."I'm hoping you all read the pages you were assinged, because pop quiz!"

The whole class starts to complain.Uriah whispers in my ear. "She only giving it to us because she is to lazy to teach today."

"That's not fair" I whisper back "If techers can get out of teaching, why can't we get out of school."

"Time to fail." Uriah says.

What should have been my favourite class, has now turned into the worst one I have. Drama.
We have a drama class room but now that we have the production we get to meet in the theatre.
Production rehearsals are at free period and as part the crew I am obligated to come.
As I walk to the theatre some one runs up beside me. Christina.

"Hello. " I tell her.

"Did you hear?" She asks as we enter the theatre.

"Did I hear what?" I respond.

"About the new kid!" She says.

"We're getting a new kid?" I asked surprised.

"Yup, he has this class with us and I'm dying to know how hot he looks." She says.

It's he. At least there are no new girls trying to take away Four. I've already got two other girls trying I don't need another. Oh and I don't think I mentioned the 3rd note from Lauren. This time she wrote: Stay away and everything will be fine.

Christina and I take our seats and wait for Tori to start class. We sit far from all our friends, and Savannah, because you know she's not my friend. Tori gets on the stage.

"Hello class. Welcome. Today we have new student today, his name is Adam. Adam why don't you come up here and introduce yourself."

Christina nudges me, and I playfully roll my eyes.

I see someone from a few rows ahead of me stand up and walk to the stage. Tan skin, light brown hair, hazel coloured eyes. He was attractive. Maybe more girl will want him instead of Four.

Christina looks at me. "Woah...." She says.

"I'm Adam, and I'm in Grade 10, I play rep soccer, and that's it I guess." He says.

"Thank you Adam, and lucky information for the crew you'll get an extra pair of hands, Adam will be working with you guys." Tori says.

" Lucky you" Christina tells me.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because you get to work with Adam." She says.

"If you didn't notice I have a boyfriend."

"Sure you do." she says

"What does that supposed to mean?" I ask confused.

"It means, make sure you still have a boyfriend because all he wants to do is hang out with Savannah."

I look over at them laughing. He hasn't spoke to me since tuesday.

"Now since all of you guys are going to be at rehearsal, I'll give all of you the script now, so come down and pick one up." She says patting large stacks of paper. "Do not ruin them these are the schools."
Everyone goes down and gets a script. As I go down a warm pair of arms wrap around me.

"Hi cutie." Four says in my ear.

"Hi Four." I say.

"I was thinking, date on friday?" He says.

"Aren't you going somewhere with Savannah?"

"Oh drop it, she's only a friend."

"The only way I'll forgive is if you tell me how I did at tryouts on our date." I say smirking.

"Okay. So it's a date?"

"Pick me up at 7." I smile and walk away. As I walk away I acciedntally bump into someone. I turn back and it's Adam.

"I'm sorry. My bad." I say

"No, it's okay." He says smiling.

"I'm Tris." I smile.

"And I assume I don't need to introduce myself." He says

I laugh. "I'll see you around. If you ever need help with anything around the school you can just ask me."
