Taehyung was pacing around his apartment, the footsteps probably annoying the neighbors below him. Not that he cared, he hated everyone in that fucking apartment. It's not like he was thinking about it when he had been in a fight with two of his friends.
After he had been left alone he had started thinking about everything he had told Jimin. Replaying all the words that had left his mouth, he started to feel more and more like an absolute loser.
Why couldn't he just admit to them what he felt? The problem was that he hadn't been able to admit it to himself. It was evident the two other boys had no problem with what happened at Jimin's flat. So why was he making such a fuss about it? Was he scared? Insecure? Confused?
Probably all three of the above. But were these feelings really going to prevent him from doing what he wanted to do? Were they really going to ruin the friendship he had finally managed to create with other human beings?
He decided that no he wasn't going to let all of that happen. He was so not going to let past fears control his present self. And he was damned if he wasn't going to fix it all right at this moment.
So he grabbed his jacket, slipped on his shoes and ran out of his apartment, straight to the first house that he thought of. The walk towards Jungkook's place was long enough to think about what he was going to say.
He decided to go to the younger first because he knew that Jungkook wasn't as angry as Jimin was, probably more disappointed than anything. He hoped Jungkook would come with him to work as a kind of buffer. If Jimin wouldn't want to listen to Taehyung, he would definitely listen to cute & sweet Jungkookie.
With a body full of nerves and a lump in his throat he rang the doorbell. As he was shuffling his feet the door opened and the friendly face of Jungkook's mother appeared in the doorway. "Ah Taehyung, what a surprise", she smiled, "It's always nice to see you".
"It's nice to see you as well Mrs. Jeon", he replied with an awkward chuckle, "I'm looking for Jungkook".
She laughed, "I figured you were". She opened the door a little bit wider and let Taehyung in. As she closed the front door behind him she said, "He's upstairs in his room. You know the way I suppose?"
"I do", Taehyung smiled, already hopping up the stairs with a nervous heart. He really didn't want to seem so rushed but he couldn't keep this bottled up anymore. He just really needed to speak about his emotions before he would burst.
He had to stop himself from storming inside of the room but he could quickly halt himself from barging in and knocked on the door instead. Hearing a voice coming from the other side of the door, he guessed he was allowed inside.
Jungkook, who was studying math while some song playing in the background (that sounded a lot like it was from a Pokémon game), had expected one of his parents to walk inside. Instead he was met with one of his best friends.
"Taehyung?", he asked, dropping his pen in surprise, "What you doing here?"
The older male hesitated for a bit before entering the bedroom completely, shutting the door behind him. Jungkook noticed how awkward the other was being and pointed towards the bed, not wanting to leave Taehyung just standing there.
The older made himself comfortable on the bed before he dared glancing in Jungkook's direction. The younger was staring at him with wide doe eyes, a pencil resting on his ear. He smiled at the cute sight.
"Sorry to interrupt you. I didn't know you were making homework", Taehyung began. He saw Jungkook frown before the younger quickly turned around, he closing his laptop and shutting his books.
"It's okay. It was not interesting anyway", he shrugged, shooting a quick smile at his friend, "So why do you came here?"
Taehyung scratched the back of his neck, "I wanted to talk to you about what happened today. And also last night".
Jungkook perked up at those words, already hoping it was about this. "Sure. What about it?"
The older didn't quite know how the start explaining. He had thought about his words the whole way to Jungkook's house, but now that he was sat here, he couldn't remember anything he'd thought of.
"I-It's not that I'm confused about my sexuality", Taehyung started, already mentally cringing at his own words, "It's really not like that. I have been together with boys before, they maybe weren't the best ones out there, but I liked being with them nonetheless".
Seems he was coming out right now. But it's not like him liking boys was a real secret right now, especially not after making out with the boy sitting right in front of him.
Jungkook frowned at this, not at all shocked by the other's words, "Then what's the problem?"
"Jungkook. I like you both. How the fuck is that normal?", Taehyung urged, frustration dripping off his words.
Jungkook shuffled in his seat, bringing his knees up to his chin, "I-I know it might be weird but it is nice no?"
"Yes, it really was nice, but it freaked me out the day after. Being together with a boy? Sure. Being together with two boys?", Taehyung shook his head at the thought, "The thought alone freaked me the fuck out"
The younger tilted his head to the side, the pencil between his ear and hair slipping out of its place, "So what else? You want one of us?"
"No- no, of course not", Taehyung replied, quickly shaking his head in disapproval, "I can clearly see how much Jimin likes you and vice versa. I wouldn't want to come between that".
"We both like you hyung. Can you not see that?", Jungkook said, his voice soft but strong at the same time.
The older averted his eyes from the younger, "It's just weird to me okay? How would it even work?" He shrugged at his own words, not knowing how to feel about all of this.
"I do not know but it's worth trying no?", Jungkook tried again, really not taking no for an answer, "Have you talk to Jimin yet?"
"No, I'm rather scared to face him right now. I really angered him".
"He is very confused probably too", the younger responded before his eyes lit up, "We can go together? It's good idea right?"
Taehyung glanced back at him, secretly happy Jungkook asked what he had hoped for, "Maybe. Do you think he'll listen after I yelled at him like that?"
"We can see when we go to him. Let's go", Jungkook smiled, jumping out of his seat. He grabbed Taehyung by the hand and pulled him off the bed, "C'mon, do not dawdle now". He threw the older another sweet smile and then rushed to get a coat and shoes so they could go.
"Let's go hyung!", the younger yelled, already running out the bedroom door, "Mom, we will be out to visit Jimin hyung!"
"I hope it'll all work out", Taehyung sighed to himself, his eyes stuck on Jungkook hopping down the stairs, a genuine and hopeful smile on his lips. "I really do".
Okay, first of all I'm sorry this took so long. I finally finished my August exams and then immediately picked up my social life, went to france with some friends and then stressed about school again. Secondly, I've been really lacking the will to write and even to read fanfictions. Maybe it's just because it's still vacation and my brain only starts working again once college has started. Let's just hope it's that.
