"Who gave you this, Emily?" I asked curiously.

"No one," she replied, "I found it in the mail pile."

"Thank you for bringing this to me," I told her, "You may go now."

She nodded and left the room, closing the door behind her.

Calder wrapped his arms around me.

"Isla?" he asked, "What the hell does she want?"

"I don't know," I admitted, "But I'm not looking forward to seeing her again."

The last time I had seen Isla, she'd tried to seduce Calder. Calder had rejected her and immediately told me what had happened. Isla had tried to spin a lie claiming that Calder had tried to seduce her, thereby betraying my trust and love.

I had believed Calder. He had never given me any reason to not to and he had been friends with me and my siblings far longer than Isla had been my friend. Sorina had even seen Isla trying to seduce Calder and had told me what she had witnessed.

I had responded by immediately cutting ties with Isla. It had been relatively easy, given that she lived in England.

"I swear if she tries anything, she'll find herself being beaten to a pulp by my shadows," I vowed.

"I know," Calder told me as he kissed my temple.

I sighed in contentment. Just being with Calder always seemed to calm me down.

"How is it that you always seem to be able to calm me down?" I asked.

"Because I know you," he replied with a smile, "Now come on, you have to get ready for Court and I have meetings today."

"Ugh," I groaned, "Don't remind me."

We both got ready and after sharing a long kiss goodbye with Calder, I made my way to the throne room. I entered and sat down on my throne.

Damien turned to the Court.

"Let's begin," he told them, "My Lords, My Ladies, the floor is yours."

Lord Bell stepped forward and bowed before us.

"My Kings, My Queens, it has come to my attention that Royal funds are going to be used to help establish a school for supernatural children. Is that correct?" he asked.

"That's correct," Damien replied, "We've met with the leaders of the other factions and we all agree that the one thing we've often seen over the years is supernaturals who are not comfortable with what they are and we'd like them to have a safe place while they figure out how to deal with it."

"And where would this school be?" Lord Bell asked.

"We've yet to decide on a location," Damien admitted, "But we're currently looking into establishing the school in Whiteshore."
