After searching for a while, we had decided to turn back home.
Once we dropped Mike off, Dustin walked me home. The walk was mostly silent until Dustin spoke up.
"I'm really sorry Y/N. I know how much you wanted to find Will."
"Just as much as everyone else." I said glumly. "But, maybe a little bit more since I haven't seen him in such a long time..." I took a shaky breath. "I just want..."
I burst into tears and started to cover my face. Dustin stopped in his tracks and pulled me into a warm embrace. "Hey, shh. It'll be okay. It'll be okay." Dustin cooed as he began to run circles on my back. "I just want my brother back!" I sobbed. "I know, I know. As do I. He'll make it. He will."

After a few minutes of crying in Dustin's arms, I got the strength to look up into his sparking blue orbs. He wiped the tears from my face. "You okay?" he asked. I nodded and wiped my eyes.

We reached my house. Lonnie's car was gone. I did a huge sigh of relief. "I'll see ya," Dustin waved. "Okay. See ya." I replied. He turned around to walk away. "Hey, Dustin?" I called out to him. He turned around. "Yeah?" he asked briskly. "Be careful."
He nodded to me and gave me one of his toothless grins, which I admired. I tried my best to grin back to him.

I turned around and walked to my house. No one was home except Chester. I figured my mom was still at the reception or something so I made myself something small to eat, took a shower, and went to bed. I invited Chester in to sleep on my bed since I was feeling really lonely that night.

Another dreamless night, I woke up to the sound of knocking. I groan and get up from my bed and leave my room to answer the door. It was Dustin. "Oh. Sorry, did I wake you?" he asked, looking at me up and down whilst I was still in pajamas and my hair was a rat's mess.
"Nope. I was only up since..." I checked my wristwatch. "8:00 this morning." I say sarcastically. "Yeah. Sorry about that. We need to get this whole riff straightened out. I'll wait for you while you change."
"Ok?" I answered like it was a question. I invited him in. "Whoa." he said examining the letters painted on the wall. "What happened?"
"Mom was trying to talk to Will. She set up all these lights and matched letter to one light so he could communicate with her. Like mores code."
"Wow. Will really loves mores code." Dustin said. "And I'm sure now my mom does." I reply. "Be right back."

I went back to my room and changed into some army green shorts, a white t-shirt and a jean jacket. I put my hair in a ponytail and grabbed a knapsack.
"Ready?" I asked. Dustin stood up. "Yep." he said, shooting me another one of those toothless grins.  I smile and we go outside. I got on the back of his back, placing my hands around his waist and we rode off towards Mike's house.

Me, Dustin, and Mike were in the basement. I noticed he destroyed the fort he made for El. I'm guessing he did so out of frustration.

"I just...I can't believe she didn't come back," Mike said, worriedly.
"She's gotta be close." Dustin said in a reassuring tone. "She said it wasn't safe." I said. "She just messed up the compasses because she wanted to protect us.She didn't betray us," Mike said, pacing.
"Mike, calm down." Dustin said, watching Mike as he paced. "I shouldn't have yelled at her.I never should've done that." Mike said, speeding his pace.
"Mike, this isn't your fault." Dustin said. "Yeah, it's Lucas's." Mike hissed.
"It wasn't his fault, either." I chimed in. "It wasn't his fault?" Mike asked, looking at me disbelievingly. "No." me and Dustin said in unison. "So you're saying he wasn't way out of line?"
"I never said that. But, don't you think you were too?" I snapped. "-What?" Mike said, doing a double take. "And so was Eleven." Dustin cut in. "-Oh, give me a break!" Mike groaned.
"No, Mike, you give us a break!" I yelled. "All three of you were being a bunch of little assholes! Dustin and I were the only reasonable ones. But the bottom line is...you pushed first. Don't think that just because of my absence, I've forgotten. And you know the rule. You draw first blood..."
"-No! No way! I'm not shaking his hand." Mike barked. I groaned in frustration.
"You're shaking his hand!" Dustin yelled in agreement to my statement.
"No, I'm not." Mike pressed on.
"This isn't a discussion. This is the rule of law. I didn't come back to see my best friends in the entire world end up falling apart because of some stupid fight." I growled.
"Obey or be banished from the party. Do you wanna be banished?" Dustin asked.
"No." Mike whined.
"-Good." Dustin replied briskly. Dustin went over to his backpack and grabbed his jacket.
"Where are we going?" Mike asked. "Where do you think? We're going to get Lucas." Dustin replied as he put on his jacket and grabbing Mike's coat. "And then we're gonna find Eleven," he threw the jacket to him.
