The Strangest Things (Dustin Henderson x reader)

The Gate

Dustin's POV

Mike and El embraced and shared a moment. 
"Is that?" Max asked. Lucas and I nodded. 

"I never gave up on you. I called you every night.Every night for--" 
"353 days. I heard." El nodded. "Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?" Mike asked.
"-Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper said as he approached El. "The hell is this? Where you been?" Hopper snapped. "Where have you been?" El snapped back. The two then hugged.
"You've been hiding her. You've been hiding her this whole time!" Mike shoved Hopper. 
"-Hey!  Let's talk. Alone." Hopper said.

Mike and Hopper went into another room. Lucas and I had the instinct to approach and embrace Eleven.
" We missed you." Lucas said. "I missed you, too." Eleven said. " We talked about you pretty much every day." I said as the embrace broke. I smiled at her, she looked at me weirdly then placed a finger in my mouth. "Teeth," she said. 
"What?" I asked. "You have teeth," she said. "Oh. You like these pearls?" I asked. I then purred. She and Lucas looked at me weirdly. 

 "Eleven? Hey. Um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you." Max said, extending her hand. Eleven didn't even look at her and instead walked right past her. "Y/N. Is she asleep?" she asked, looking at her sleeping figure. "She's in a coma," I said. "Coma?" Eleven asked, looking to me. "A coma is when someone falls asleep and they can't wake up,"
"Why can't she wake up?" El asked. "Because Will and he share the same DNA. Will is being possessed by the mind flayer and for some reason, it affected her too," I explained. El nodded. "She missed you too. A whole lot," I said. El grabbed her hand and rubbed her palm.

She saw Ms. Byers and hugged her and asked to see Will. She went into the room where Will was. After a few moments they came back out and looked at the message we deciphered from Will's morse code. 
"You opened this gate before, right?" Ms. Byers asked. "Yes," El replied. "Do you think if we got you back there,that you could close it?" 
El didn't answer for a moment, then she nodded.

Hopper and Mike came back and Ms. Byers caught things up with Hopper. Then, Hopper started to explain the underground tunnels made up of the Upside Down. 
"It's not like it was before. It's grown. A lot. And, I mean,that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs."
"-Demo-dogs," I corrected.
"I'm sorry, what?" Hopper asked. 
"I said, uh, Demo-dogs. Like Demogorgon and dogs. You put them together,it sounds pretty badass--"
"How is this important right now?" Hopper interrupted me. "It's not. I'm sorry." i gave in.
"I can do it," El spoke up. "You're not hearing me." Hopper said. "I'm hearing you. I can do it." El reassured. "Even if El can,there's still another problem. If the brain dies, the body dies." Mike spoke up. "I thought that was the whole point." Max said. "It is,but if we're really right about this...I mean, if El closes the gateand kills the mind flayer's army..."
"Will's a part of that army." Lucas said. "And Y/N is a victim," I said.
"Closing the gate will kill him. And Y/N too," Mike said. I looked down. 

Ms. Byers and Hopper went into Will's room. "El, can you do me a favor?" I asked. "Can you use your sixth sense to try and contact Y/N. Tell her we're okay. I need to find out what's going on. If there is anything going on."

El looked to me and nodded. "I can do it without the bath now. I just need something to cover my eyes," El said. Mike out a piece of cloth and gave it to El. El approached Y/N. She sat down criss-crossed and placed the blindfold around her eyes.

El's POV

I covered my eyes and started to concentrate. I was surrounded in black. I started walking, calling Y/N's name. I then heard a voice. 
"Help! Help me please! HELP!"
It was her voice. I started running until I saw a caged person. I couldn't believe it was Y/N. 
"Y/N?!" I said. "Who is there?" she asked. She sounded really scared. "It's me. El. I'm alive!" I cried. "El? El! EL!" she called. "Yes, it's me!"
"Help me El, please!" she cried. "Don't worry. We'll find you! Where are you!"
"UPSIDE DOWN!" she screamed. "Where in the Upside Down!"
"CENTER! TUNNELS!" she yelled. "We're coming!" I yelled before I was pushed back by the normal force that would push me back when I was running out of energy.
