After a few minutes of walking I had noticed a murder of crows in a tree. Weirdly enough there were only ten, sitting on a long branch side by side. I kept expecting them to move or make a noise. I was reminded of an old superstitious poem I had heard as a kid.

One crow sorrow,

Two crows joy,

Three crows a letter,

Four crows a boy,

Five crows for silver,

Six crows for gold,

Seven crows for a secret never to be told,

Eight crows for a wish,

Nine crows for a kiss,

And ten crows for a time of joyous bliss.

A sudden movement startled me, I looked up to see the first crow staring at me intently. All the others had disappeared. It then gave a long deep caw.

    One crow sorrow,

I gave a nervous laugh and Luna stared at me weirdly. I gave her a reassuring look and she moved on.
You're just being paranoid, I thought, It's just a silly superstition.

But in a world where Supernatural creatures roam the earth with three moons shining down on us, the line between what is myth and reality is blurred.
Another deep caw. One crow sorrow.
