For as long as he could remember, Remus had slept with a Deceit Bear.

It was a little bear Dee had given him a few years back, not that he remembered. He had decorated it with a little cloak and bowler hat that Patton had sown for him; it helped him through his gory episodes - he would get hyper & violent and he couldn't always control it.

Ree felt the familiar sickly feeling and reached out next to him quickly.

But DeeDee was gone. He panicked, flinging his covers back.

Nope.

He ran a hand through his hair desperately. Where was he?? He focused on his breathing and tried to be calm. "He will be here somewhere," he mumbled, continuing his search.

He continued to look around but couldn't help getting worked up. Soon, he was throwing things round his room in a fit of rage, messing up his floor & desk, and chucking things about.

Random objects smashed and clattered to the ground. He didn't bother to care about what they were. Things in the mindscape were easily replaceable.

Eventually, he gave up and flopped onto his bed, curling up; he was worn out. Remus felt a wet, salty tear splash onto his cheek as he gripped his covers.

He just wanted his bear.

Deceit, passing by to go downstairs, stopped at the sound of soft crying. Coming from... Remus' room? Unsure what to expect, Dee gently pushed open the door.

What he saw broke his heart. Remus was a mess, his hair everywhere, eyes puffy and red from crying, his eyeliner running down his face. He frowned.

This wasn't the Remus he knew. Dee made sure to speak softly. "Hey, 'Musss." Remus looked up and blushed, curling up tighter. Dee made his way over, carefully stepping over the mess on the floor.

Remus' voice cracked. "Dee, go away." Deceit stepped closer. Remus didn't react. Dee got onto the bed with him and cuddled into his side, holding him close and silently stroking his hair. He was warm. He noticed Remus' blush. He frowned again, carding a hand through his hair. "Hey, it'ssss just me. Dee Dee." Remus let out a choked sob at the mention of his bear. Deceit was confused, tilting his head. "What's wrong, sweetie?" He cooed. He couldn't bear to see Remus genuinely sad. Remus turned even redder. "My t-teddy bear." Deceit nodded in understanding. He knew Virgil had a bear to help with panic attacks, so it figured Remus had something similar.

"Did you lose it?" Remus nodded, hiccuping. "Oh, sweetheart." He brought Remus closer. "I'll help you look." He tentatively wiped away Remus' tears and frowned.

'If I were Remus, where would I put something important?' He mused. Aha! Under his pillow. He stuck a gloved hand under Remus' pillow, fishing around. He smiled when he felt a lumpy shape. He pulled it out. Remus gasped and made grabby hands, cuddling his comfort animal.

Deceit swooned. Remus was so adorable. He glanced at Remus fondly and that's when Dee noticed the bears' outfit. It was dressed to look like... him?

"Why is it dressed like me, Rem?" He asked quietly. Remus' face heated up and he and hid his face in it, & it clicked.

How dense could Dee have been? His long time crush actually felt the same?! Overwhelmed, he grabbed onto the back of Remus' head and kissed him passionately, with all the love he could muster. Remus melted into the kiss, desperately grabbing at Dee and pulling him closer. Dee cupped his face gently.

They soon began to make out and it got heated, both of them enjoying the passion. Remus moaned into the kiss.

Unfortunately, they needed air, and so pulled away, lips swollen.
"I love you so, so much, Dee." Remus admitted.

Dee nodded. "Oh honey. I've always loved you. And I don't think I will ever stop." Remus pulled Dee back. "Now, where were we?"
