Trigger Warnings: [Fake] Blood, cobwebs.

Deceit knew they were cheap and overrated; commercial. But Remus loved it all - the live actors jumping out at you, the screams, fear of the unknown. So for Halloween night that's what Deceit had booked, even though it secretly breached his comfort zones. He was actually kinda scared of... the unpredictable. Remus was gory, sure. But Deceit knew what he was gonna do next.

Timeskip 🙂💘

Dee and Remus arrived, and Deceit extended a slender hand to Remus to step out of the car. The pair shivered in the cold October air. Remus was eager to share all of his ideas with Dee: "We should run our own haunted house, Dee. That way we'd get free candy. They should give me a sticker, for being brave. Will you get scared? It's okay if you do. I'll squeeze your hand, I promise."

This eased the knot in Deceit's stomach as he just kissed Remus' forehead lovingly, watching as the line grew shorter. Soon, they were inside, Remus bouncing around in excitement. Deceit shot a tight lipped smile at the dead inside looking worker, who came to see them off.

Deceit tried to calmly observe the scene, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness. The place was adorned in cobwebs and fake blood - tacky, he supposed. No amount of procrastination, however, could stop his heart from beating wildly. A quiet, almost unnoticeable sound was emmited and Dee flinched.

Remus noticed Dee's worried look, concerned. He knew Deceit, and he knew when his boyfriend was feeling off. "Hey, Dee?" He tried his best to meet his lover's eyes in the dark. "I'm sorry. We can cuddle and watch movies later tonight. It's okay, to be scared." Deceit nodded helplessly. What had he done to deserve Remus?

The experience started, and Dee did jump or shriek a few times, especially when a live actor crudely appeared from underneath a TV.

Remus thoroughly enjoyed it - even in the gloomy atmosphere it was obvious he was grinning from ear to ear. But he never let go too much - he always focused on Dee. He held on to Dee the whole way, squeezing his warm hand and holding it tight. He also always stopped to ask if Deceit was alright.

Deceit actually found himself relaxing, with, safe, warm, strong, brave Remus. He'd forgotten how handsome his boyfriend was. Deceit was having a great night but he longed for cuddles and before they knew it, it was over.

Remus turned to Dee, grinning happily. "Thank you!! I loved it. Did you enjoy it?"
And Deceit could only be honest. "Yessss. I enjoyed experiencing it with you, 'Muss." Dee cupped Remus' face and brought it in for a gentle kiss. What a night.
