Okay, this is going to be kinda short, since I already uploaded this week. I don't have that much time, you know, I'm choosing this over my History Essay because I'm at a writer's block for that. So, without further ado, on with the chappy!

Oh, and the disclaimer... I don't own any Harry Potter characters except Juliet. To do that, I'd have to be J.K. Rowling... which, unfortunately, I am not. Anyway! Read on!

By the time the carriage reached the school, I was much too giddy with excitement. At one point, though, I was freaking out.

"Don't worry, Julie," Lily had said at the same time as Mary said, "Calm yourself, newbie!" They both looked at each other and started laughing.

"What they were saying," Marlene sighed, eyeing the pair wearily, "is that you'll be fine. We honestly don't care what house you get sorted in. But, if you get sorted into Ravenclaw, I'll buy you loads of candy from Hogsmeade." She winked at me as she said that.

And that, my friends, is what made me so giddy. Although, I honestly want to be in Gryffindor. Oh well, even if I am in Ravenclaw, it wouldn't be that bad... at least I'd have Marlene.

So anyway, I was walking up the stairs in front of everyone else, when I was stopped by a tall, old-looking lady dressed in green robes. She was wearing eyeglasses, and had her grayish-brown hair in a bun.

"Are you Juliet Potter?" she asked, eyeing me with disdain. She obviously thought I was like my brother, a handful.

"Yes, ma'am," I said as politely as possible. She shook her head slightly, sighing.

"I am Professor McGonagall," she said. "Come with me, Ms. Potter. You will be sorted first. The first years are on their way with Hagrid." I looked back to the crew, and they all nodded. I think they heard us. I smiled and followed the professor. Then, her words sank in.

"Wait, now?" God, I am NOT ready for this.

"Yes," McGonagall said impatiently. Oh, touchy! "We must be quick, as you will be sorted before the students are allowed into the Great Hall." We walked into this giant, spacious room, and there was a stool with a hat on top of it in the front of the room. Um... okay? Anyway, McGonagall strode ahead of me, grabbed the hat off of the stool, and motioned towards the stool. I sat on there, and she placed the hat on top of my head.

"Another Potter?" a voice said in my head. I nearly fell off the stool!

"Well, I'm sorry for startling you," the voice chuckled. "I'm the sorting hat. Now, where to put you?"

I honestly don't mind where I go, to be perfectly honest. I have friends in every house... well, except Hufflepuff.

"I see. Well, I think I'll keep you with the rest of the family. GRYFFINDOR!" It said in a slightly louder voice. I smiled as it was being pulled off of my head.

"Thank you, Ms. Potter," Dumbledore was saying. Yes, of course I know who Dumbledore is! I don't live under a rock, you know. "You may go sit at the table to the far left." I nodded and walked over to the table as students began coming in. Lily saw me first.

"You're in Gryffindor!" she cried, walking over with the rest of the group. Sev looked slightly crestfallen.

"Aw," I grinned. "Sorry Sev, the hat wanted to keep me with my brother." I pulled a face when I mentioned James, and Severus laughed.

"That's alright," he muttered, still chuckling. "Though, I should really go now."

"Okay, see you later," Lily said, hugging him. I hugged him too.
