DISCLAIMER! I do NOT own James, Sirius, Lily, Remus, Peter, Alice, or Frank. And anyone else that looks familiar, I don't own them either. All I own is the story plot, and Juliet, and I handful of other characters. That is all. Now, I command thee to read on! ...Please?
"Mum, do we HAVE to take Floo powder?" James whined from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes, James never liked Floo powder. I, on the other hand, really enjoyed the strange feeling it gave me. I don't know, okay, that's just me.
"Yes, James," Mum snapped from the kitchen. She was packing our lunches for the train ride to Hogwarts. Ugh, its going to be long. I'm probably going to sit with James and his friends. They're probably not going to like me, because I'm a girl. Oh great, now I'm ranting. I hate when I do this, even if it's in my head, because I feel weird... sort of like I'm an ungrateful person. Okay, I'll stop rambling now. Just when I decided that, Sirius walked into the room.
My life is DEFINITELY not going the way I wished it would.
See, I'm just trying to avoid boys I'm not related to altogether. Screw Mrs. Bagshot and her real-life soap operas! I mean, honestly, boys and drama go hand in hand. And who needs drama? NOT. ME.
"...So, Sirius, you can go first with your luggage. James, you can go next, and Juliet, dear, you can come with me. Your father will bring your luggage, and you can carry your lunches. Okay?" Mum turned to face me, probably waiting for my reply.
"Yeah, sure," I sighed.
Sirius glanced from James to me, took a handful of Floo powder, and climbed into the fireplace. "Platform 9 and 3/4, Kings Cross Station," he said. Green flames engulfed him, and he was gone.
"There," mum sighed. "One down. James?"
James nodded, and did exactly what Sirius had done seconds before him.
Once James had disappeared , dad took my luggage from beside me, and Floo-ed to Kings Cross Station. Then, mum and I Floo-ed over as well. The first thing I saw was the Hogwarts Express.
Man, it was HUGE! And red. Very red. I love it already! While looking around, I glanced at the clock. It was 10:55. The train leaves in five minutes!
I grabbed my luggage from dad, kissed mum on the cheek and literally ran into the train.
After walking through the train, though, I finally found an empty compartment. Squealing, I sat down and started to read the back cover of a novel mum got me. Finally, peace and quiet!
"Hey, Julie!"
I knew it wouldn't last long. And I was right.
"What do you want, James?" I groaned. He was standing at the compartment door, staring at me, grinning.
"The Marauders and I were wondering if we could sit with you?" He said, flashing me what he thought was a charming grin. I just thought he was trying too hard. I mean, he must have already known my answer would be a-
"No."
"Damn it!" he cursed. "Please Jule? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease? I'll take you shopping in Hogsmeade!"
I mulled over that for a minute. I DID like shopping...
"Okay," I sighed, exasperated.
"Yes!" he yelled, pumping his fist into the air. "Come on in, guys!"
My mouth dropped open when I realized that James had the nerve to bring other people in here! Oh, he is going to DIE.
There were only two other guys, though. Sirius and... some guy I didn't know. He was kinda short and had mousy, brown hair. It looked all tussled and stuff, as though this guy was a wannabe James... I shuddered. I mean, one James is bad enough!
