RockPelt stood on the Moss Rock, staring down at the cats.

"N-Now, I shall choose the new deputy of MossClan.." She meowed.

The leader scanned the cats.

"StarlingWhisker! You trained RedPaw very well when he was alive, and I think you deserve to be deputy of MossClan." RockPelt meowed.

The black and white tom seemed shocked for a moment, but he nodded.

"Now, you shall watch the camp while I leave to get my nine lives." RockPelt meowed.

The tom nodded again, hopping onto the Moss Rock as she hopped down.

She signaled for BayFall to follow her.

"RockPelt, are you sure you don't want to stay a warrior?" BayFall meowed. "I know PoppyTail's death hit you very hard, and you seem pretty shaken up from it. I know you loved her, everyone in MossClan did."

RockPelt ignored the medicine cat as they kept walking.

"Be careful around here, RockPelt. The last time we came towards this place-" BayFall mewed.

"WaspFur died. I know, BayFall." RockPelt meowed.

"A-Alright then, we're here." BayFall whispered to her.

The gray she-cat dipped her head to BayFall, touching her nose to the glowing water.

"Greetings, RockStar. It is time for you to achieve your nine lives." An ominous voice said.

A group of starry cats appeared before her.

A small, petite, black she-cat took a step forward, dipping her head in greetings to RockPelt.

"Oh, RockPelt, how you've grown," The she-cat said. "I could not see any other warrior as perfect to lead the clan as you."

"It's good to see you too, mother." She meowed.

"With this life, I give you bravery, use it well to defend every cat under your guardianship." The petite cat meowed, pressing her head against RockPelt's.

RockPelt screamed in agony for a moment, it felt like every bit of fur on her body was lit ablaze, but then, the burning feeling stopped. The black she-cat gave a wave of her tail before heading into the crowd.

A small, kit-sized ginger she-cat shuffled forwards, staring at RockPelt.

"You probably don't know me, do you?.." She questioned.

"No, I don't. I'm sorry, little one." RockPelt meowed, shaking her head.

"Well, I'm ChirpBird,  one of MarigoldPetal's other kits." ChirpBird responded.

"Alright, if you say so." RockPelt meowed.

"With this life, I give you kindness, use it well and keep your clan happy, to let them know they're never forgotten." ChirpKit mewed, pressing her head against RockPelt's leg.

The feeling she got from this life was nothing like the last, she felt at ease, and secure. The kit disappeared into the crowd, and a white and ginger tom took a few steps out of the crowd.

"RedPaw!" She called.

The tom nodded, not speaking a word as he walked towards RockPelt.

"With this life, I give you wisdom. Use it well as a way to teach the young cats of your clan, so they do not end up like me." RedPaw meowed, touching heads with the gray she-cat.

RockPelt felt like her pelt was on fire, but it wasn't hurting her. She watched as RedPaw's ginger tail disappeared within the crowd. And a yellow paw stepped out of the crowd, revealing a black and yellow shape, it's green eyes gleaming.

"RockPelt. It has been a moment, hasn't it?" WaspFur meowed.

"Yes- it has, WaspFur, yes it has." RockPelt meowed.

"Now, with this life, I give you strength, use it to defend your clan, and use it for the name of StarClan." WaspFur mewed, touching his black head to the cat's.

RockPelt twitched, as if she just had gotten severely wounded, holding in another scream. The black tom walked back into the crowd, giving her a glance.

A bluish gray she-cat limped forward, staring at her.

"LostCall?! B-But, before I left-" RockPelt only managed to choke out a few words before the she-cat spoke.

"It is alright, RockPelt. It was my time. You were a good sister to me and.. GrayBird, of course. But now, we need to get you your nine lives." LostCall meowed.

She nodded.

"With this life, I give you agility, use it to defend your clanmates from danger." LostCall meowed, pressing her head against hers.

RockPelt felt like some sort of monster had hit her, and she let out a loud scream. She watched as LostCall dipped her head, and walked away.

LarkKit padded out of the crowd towards RockPelt.

"RockPelt! Yay! You're gonna be a great leader!" LarkKit excitedly meowed.

"Thank you, LarkKit." She meowed.

"Actually, it's LarkHawk now, a nice she-cat gave me a warrior name!" The sand-colored kit replied.

"That is.. very lovely, LarkHawk." She mewed nervously.

"Anyways, with this life, I give you compassion for every cat, in your clan, no matter where their loyalty lies." LarkHawk meowed, hugging RockPelt's leg.

RockPelt's heart felt warm, and she watched LarkHawk leave, as a white tom padded forward.

"RockPelt. I am ReedEyes, your ancestor. As you know, I've come to give you a life." The white tom meowed.
She nodded, staring at the tom.

"With this life, I give you trust, use it well to find things that will guide you." He meowed, touching noses with her, and the white tom disappeared into the crowd.

A beautiful spotted she-cat padded forwards.

"MarigoldPetal?!" She meowed, shocked.

"Yes, RockPelt, I'm here, I have joined my warrior ancestors." MarigoldPetal mewed, grooming her pelt.

"What happned to you? How did you die?" She questioned.

"With this live, I give you patience, use it well to love your clan as if they were your kits."

The spotted she-cat touched her nose, and faded into the crowd as a ginger tabby emerged.

"PoppyTail!" RockPelt cried.

"Greetings, RockPelt. I missed you." She mewed.

"I missed you so much..! It's all my fault, PoppyTail!" RockPelt whined.

"Hush, RockPelt. It'll be ok." PoppyTail meowed softly.

"L-Let's just get my last life." She meowed to PoppyTail.

"With this life, I give you love. Use it as a way to show your clanmates you care for them." PoppyTail meowed, licking RockPelt's head.

WaspFur took some steps forward.

"I hail you by your new name, RockStar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship MossClan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity." He meowed.

"RockStar! RockStar! RockStar!" The starry cats cheered.

RockStar awoke to the sight of BayFall.

"Hey, RockStar." BayFall meowed. "How was it?"
