I wake up curled up on a chair in Josh's room, feeling like I've had no sleep. I search my pockets only to realise my phone is at home, still on charge so I quietly get up and make my way to the kitchen to check the time.
It is now 7:30 in the morning.
I yawn before before starting on breakfast, which is hard considering Josh has next to nothing in his fridge and cupboards. I don't have any money either so I can't go out to buy anything. I manage to find sausage, 3 eggs and a few potatoes so I make scrambled eggs, fry the sausage and make fries out of the potatoes. It's not a bad breakfast, considering what I had to work with. I find a tray and place Josh's food on it, along with his pills and a glass of water.
"Josh, wake up," I call as I enter the room and he groans but quickly sits up when I tell him I have breakfast.
"Hailey...you didn't have to do all this," he says once he fully wakes up.
"Yes I did. Now eat up so that you can take your medication," I tell him before leaving the room again.
"What about you? Aren't you going to eat anything?" he asks.
"I already ate," I say before making my way toward the bathroom.
I wash my face and tie up my hair before searching for some mouthwash. Once I've freshened up I feel a lot better so I make myself some coffee and go back to Josh's room, where Josh has already finished his breakfast.
"Thanks Hails, that was great," he says with a cheery smile.
"It's a pleasure. Now go shower. I need to change the gauze on your arm. Oh and don't forget to take it off before you actually shower," I instruct and he actually salutes me before leaving.
While he's in the shower I start cleaning because there's really nothing else for me to do and when Josh comes out he just shakes his head at me. "You, Hailey Anderson, are absolutely crazy."
"Just give me the damn gauze Joshua."
Once I'm satisfied that Josh is in good condition I sigh and start grabbing my stuff.
"Sienna and I are visiting the florists at 11 so I have to leave but you'll be okay?" I ask.
"Yes Hailey, I'll be okay."
"Good. Then remember to eat something after 1 and take two tablets. And by eat something I mean a solid meal. And by solid meal I mean something that includes vegetables. I think that's it. I'll be back later but call me if you need anything," I say, hoping that I've told him everything.
"Stop worrying, I'm 26 years old and I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself," he tells me.
"I'll worry about you no matter how old you are so just make sure-" I start but Josh cuts me off by wrapping his arms around me in a hug.
"Thank you. For everything Hails, it really means a lot," he tells me.
"It's a pleasure."
"But you really need to go. You have an appointment in 2 hours and wedding planner Hailey will freak if you're late," he tells me, letting me go and almost shoving me out the door.
I hail a cab and make it home with an hour to get ready. Jess is sitting in the kitchen, grinning like the Cheshire cat, when I walk in. "Oh good morning," she tells me, "Look at you doing the walk of shame."
"Now is not the time Jessica. I have an hour to get ready so save your smart-ass comments for when I get out the shower. Josh is fine by the way," I call out as I run to my room.
45 minutes later I'm completely ready so I make my way over to Jess, who's still sitting and grinning. God I never realized just how creepy Jessica Harries can be. Instead of saying anything though, she just looks at me.
