"Why in god's name would I want to spend my weekend deciding what decorations should go where and where people should be seated?" Josh asks after I ask him to come along to the wedding venue for the weekend. Jessica, Ashton and I are supposed to head up there tomorrow and after going to dinner with them tonight I am not about to be a third wheel. It's actually torture.

"Because you're the best man?" I reply, making it sound more like a question more than anything else.

"And why would the best man need to be there for this? The wedding planner going along makes perfect sense but I see no reason why the best man needs to come along too," he says.

"I am not about to spend my weekend alone with Jess and Ashton. So please, just come along and save me from 48 hours of smooching and giggling," I almost beg.

"Okay okay...I'll come with you guys," he says with a chuckle.

"Great. We'll be there for two nights and it apparently gets quite cold at night but it's really warm in the day. Try and pack light though," I tell him.

"You sound like a teacher informing students of the impending school trip."

"You're forgetful so my teacher voice is definitely needed."

"Are we all going in one car? Because I volunteer to drive. We'll just shove Jess and Ashton in the backseat," Josh says.

"I like that idea."

"Of course you do."

"I'll let them know then. We are planning on leaving after Jess is done with work so whenever you're done and packed come over to our place then we can all leave from here. Sound good?"

"Sounds good. I'll probably be there after 5. Hopefully we'll get to the place before it gets too dark."

"Okay. Thank you so much for coming along. I really would not be able to survive this weekend without you Josh."

"Would you be able to survive anything without me?"

"Probably not. Anyway, I'm going to go tell Jess the latest developments. I will see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow Hails," Josh says before hanging up.

"Jessica!" I call.

"What?" she shouts in response.

"Come here for a moment!"

I wait a bit before I see Jess entering my room. "What?"

"Josh is coming with us this weekend."

"Of course he is."

"Three is a bit of an awkward number," I tell her.

"And you just want him to come along."

"And I just want him to come along," I repeat and Jess flops down on my bed.

"So remind me why we're going there this weekend? Besides it being an opportunity for Ashton and I to see the venue."

"Well, we do need to actually plan the decor and look at how much space we have. We basically just need time to plan out how everything is going to look and how the ceremony is going to happen. We can't just arrive the day before with no idea of what we need to do."

"And we'll get to speak to everyone about what's needed?"

"Yes, and we also get to relax on a beautiful wine farm for 48 hours."

"Are you even capable of relaxing. Or is that what Josh is for?" she teases and I choose to ignore her.

"Well I don't have to cook and clean so I'd definitely call that relaxing."
