Mai's Pov
It's been around two years since Naru and Lin left us for England. I have grown, mentally, emotionally and physically. My name, is Mai Taniyama. And now it begins...
Here is how I have changed. I'm in collage with my good friend Yasuhara Osama.I am now considered one of Japans best PK users. I have abilities of my own, but only use them at a moments need.
Physical: I am now taller, more graceful, and a lot less clumsy. My hair is down to my waist, with blue, yellow, green and white streaks mixed with it. I have filled out and am now 18 years old.
Mentally: I am focused, and am in the top 10 in my collage core classes. Mostly thanks to studying and Yasu. Damn pervert....
Emotionally: Here's the bad part about it. After Naru, or shall I say Dr. Davis, left, I became colder, stoic and silent. I hardly show what I'm feeling and I hardly ever talk anymore.
I meet a girl, Rosemarie Cosiago. She uses a different form of PK. Her's allows her to heal people and control people. Luckily, we taught her how to hide it. She is my best friend, my sister. I only let myself be free around her and Yasu. The reason of my attitude?
*Flashback*
"YOU BASTARD! YOU'VE BEEN LYING THIS WHOLE TIME!" Ayako screamed in frustration after hearing the truth.
"You used us! How could you do that to Mai?" Monk yelled angrily.
"I'm leaving..." Yasu said standing up. "Mai?" He asked cautiously. "Are you alright?" Tears were streaming down my face, disbelief written on my face, hardly having the strength to move. Monk and Ayako kept yelling at Naru causing him to get fed up. "You both are annoying. Lin, we have a plane to catch." "Naru wait!" I cried hoarsely. "Look at me." He turned around and looked at me blankly with his dark, sapphire blue eyes. "Would you stay, if I told you I love you?" "No" at that moment, pain blossomed within my chest and I could literally hear my heart breaking. Especially at what he said after, "Your not in love with me, you're in love with my DEAD brother." His words were icier and more bitter than I've ever heard before. Before I hit the floor, I watched as countless pieces of my heart and soul crashed into nothing, walking into the dark abyss...
